Great little performers, a must buy.
Off the bat you can feel the quality on these. The anime packaging isn't to my tastes, although its only the box art so its not really an issue, I am sure some people like that a lot. The internal packaging is great, headphones are presented well, and packed nicely. Headphones are made of metal and the cables to attach the headphones feel like a good quality. I have been using these for about a week, and they have settled in nicely. The included buds are good, and they also seem to fit with my comply sets if you were looking for 3rd party options also. As with all IEMs getting a good fit is essential to get a good frequency response, it took me a while to find that, but now I know the tips that work for my ear shape, so if they dont sound good initially, persevere with them and they will really pay dividends in audio quality. Sound profile is nice, its not too heavy on the bass end, crystal clears on the high with a good mid-range. I haven't found a genre of music that sound inauthentic, and they also work well for gaming, the stereo imaging/sound stage is really clear and wide on these which I believe helps it in the latter area. For less than £20 its really a no brainer. If you are after IEMs or new to them these easily punch well above their weight. High quality, metal body, comfortable fit, great sound presentation, whats not to like.

Amazing Soundstage for the Price
These IEMs deliver detailed, balanced audio, wide soundstage, clear mids. Comfortable fit, detachable cable. Punches way above budget tier. Audiophile entry-level gem!

Brilliant for the price
Likes: 1. Very comfortable. 2. Lovely, clear sound - no distortion or fuzz 3. They are very stable in the ear. 4. Light weight - light for IEMs at least. 5. The price. Mehh: 1. They work best when you tune your audio source - I use a Sony Xperia 10 V, and it took about 20 minutes to find the sweet spot for me, so the bass is not crazy, the mids are full and tonefull and the highs are level and not murdering your eardrum - once you find the right balance, you'll be in heavenly fidelity. 2. The little carry case thing is bit blugh, it works, but it could be slightly bigger to account for the length of the cable and the IEM units. Trivial complaint in other words. Don't like: 1. Nothing. These are fantastic for the price and the quality of sound is woth WAY more than the £18 they are charging.

Very good sound, Very sturdy
I used to be an over ear headphone guy and I got a pair of these because I was sick of headset hair, and I'm about to buy another pair. had them just under 6 months, I know that might not seem like a long time but i work from home online and in my free times I game, so they have had 6 hours a day almost daily use for 6 months and only now has the left side started to get quite, not cutting out or anything , just quieter, which can easily be fixed by balancing in windows sound settings. couldn't be happier with them

Broken after only three months!
Leading with the issue, the left unit has entirely stopped working - regardless of the cable, or what it's plugged into, as each cable I have works perfectly with each IEM set that I own. The connector for the left unit had become loose during the first few weeks or so of use, but didn't present any issue until the night of this review, wherein the left unit has gone silent. Previously, these were incredible little IEM's for the price, and I would have suggested them to anyone looking to get into headphones as a hobby, or even just those that needed a new pair, but now I'm uncertain.

not perfect but pretty good
Good sounding iems, they sound warm and smooth with a light v shape sound signature for a more engaging sound without sacrificing the midrange. The build quality is good with an all metal shell, though on my unit one of the pin connectors in the iem was loose which made the connected 2 pin rattle sometimes in my ear. I assume the iem nozzle is made of brass mine corrodes slightly with a dulling of the colour and a blue liquid coming from the brass as it oxidizes. These issues can be fixed or maintained. The cable works fine and is lightweight. It comes with a small carry pouch and 3 sets of eartips from small to large but no tip variety. They are excellent sound quality for the price and very comfortable to wear.

Excellent IEMs for the price
I'm surprised to see some rather mediocre reviews re these Chu 2s as I found them to be clear, open (for IEMs), have good soundstage (for IEMs), have no overwhelming bass or treble, no treble splash, no noticeable straining at higher volumes, no over or under presentation of male or female singers & a good balance between instruments & voices. They are also easy to drive. The earphones are very well made using zinc alloy (completely I think) & are a steal at £19. They are very compact, lightweight & not at all bulky - diminutive. However, their sound is not hampered by their physical size. The unique aluminium/magnesium diaphragm used seems to have made a big positive difference to the overall sound. I didn't use the cable that came with the phones - instead I used a reference one & this proved that the Chu's are worthy of upgrading the cable if you want to improve sound quality. These probably aren't for those who consider themselves baseheads but will suit those looking for good sound accuracy & a balanced sound. In my opinion, they're worthy successors to the original Chu's. Recommended

Best budget IEMS out on the market
They feel really good. They are made out of metal. The cable is long enough. The sound stage is amazing. I can hear every note in every song. My only critic is that it can have a tad bit more treble but that can be fixed in softwares. It supports 24 bit at 192000mhz. So the lossless audio sounds amazing. They look a bit funky in the ears but I don’t take them outside. Only use them on my pc

You simply can not get better audio quality than this for the price. They are slightly V shape tuned with a slight lean towards treble. Super comfortable as well due to their small size. Only complaints are non-removable nozzles and they can corrode after a while. But for this price I’m just nitpicking. Great pair for daily beaters or to give to a friend who is new to IEMs.

I didn't expect much for the price, but I am pleasantly surprised by not only an insane top-notch quality in materials, but also in sounds, in comfortableness, unboxing experience, it just feels premium and that it should be higher priced, it's just perfect for the money; if you need wired sound, be it for laptop, nintendo switch, or whatever, please, go with these if you don't want to spend a lot of money. And I don't say it as a cheap option, I would gladly consider these my favorite ones over many other higher priced options on the market.

Summary Review: Sound Quality is great for the price. Sonic signature is best described as neutral, balanced and detailed. Versatile and solid for music & movies without having any "wow factor" or V shaped equalisation; shines in particular with online gaming due to spacious and detailed nature. Build quality is questionable. My first pair lasted 6 months and failed due to one of the most tangle-happy cables I have ever seen. The seller, ShenzenAudio AU, provided excellent support and communication when contacted regarding the issue with the item. For this pair I will try to find some sort of way to re-enforce or otherwise prevent the cable from twisting as I do enjoy these little phones and think they are excellent value for money at $30 (if they can last!).

I received my Moondrop Chu II three days ago and tried it right away, but in my opinion, the sound quality was mediocre and nothing special at first. That was my initial impression, and since I know some headphones or IEMs need time to “burn in” before they show their true sound, I decided to burn them in for about 24 hours using the songs I usually listen to. I don’t like using synthetic audio for burn-in. I know some people don’t believe in burn-in and think it’s just the listener getting used to the sound, but in this case, I burned the IEMs without listening to them at all. After 24 hours, I can understand why many people recommend them. So if you own the Moondrop Chu II and feel that it sounds unremarkable at first, you might want to try burning it in and then listening again. Ideally, use the songs you normally listen to and keep your usual volume level. The one thing I don’t like is the cable, it feels too thin and seems like it could break easily. Buying a new cable with a 4.4 mm plug almost costs as much as buying another Moondrop Chu II, but I’ll see. I may still buy a better cable so I can use it longer. Now for the pros: the build quality is amazing. When you hold the earbuds themselves, you wouldn’t believe they only cost 219 SEK, 19.96 EUR, or 23.15 USD. The sound also improved after burn-in, the bass is sufficient, the treble isn’t harsh, and because of the V-shaped tuning, the vocals in some songs may not be very clear, though this might improve with more playtime. If you’re looking for your first IEMs, the Moondrop Chu II could be a good option. There are plenty of reviews, and many reviewers use the Chu II as a comparison point, which means it can serve as a useful benchmark if you decide to buy more IEMs in the future.
