I bought this self feeder for my outdoor caged bunnies. I was using a bowl before getting the self feeder but the silly bunnies always nudged it around their cage by head butting it making all the food spill out This self feeder stays in place and weighs enough so that they can't tip it over. It keeps the food dry and since it holds a large amount of food, the number of times I have to refill their bowl is reduced.

Perfect for my kitties dry food. This holds quite a bit of food, so I don't have to lift a heavy bag all the time. It seems to be very durable, and the lid lifts off easily

I've tried a few other gravity feeders -- one chronic problem is that they frequently get stuck. When using this to handle being away from home, such a problem is nothing short of a calamity. However, this simple device has never gotten stuck: ever. There is always food available when there is food in the hopper. That alone makes it a perfect feeder, because it's veering very close to "You had one job!" territory (i.e. not a starving cat)

Great to have makes my job a feeding my dog a lot easier. But the reason I took one star away was because the food doesn’t come down on its own I have to move it with my hand. And if you look at the picture it’s not that the food pieces are too big. It’s just odd and annoying. But it does hold a lot and it’s a good size and it’s sturdy and it’s way less work than having to refill her bowl every day. So I’m satisfied enough.

My plates of food were spilled by the many cats in the house. Kibble everywhere each day. Now none spilled and it works perfectly. Nice design.

Okay, I know you see the title and you'll probably be like, this is just user error. You need to be cleaning it once a week or whenever people recommend. But, I unfortunately am very forgetful and busy, that I'm switching to either a ceramic or stainless steel gravity feeder, to avoid said cat acne. But! I will say that the gravity part of the feeder actually works! I have two other non Amazon ones that have to be tilted forward, but this one is actually designed to work! So two thumbs up for that.

Bought this to gravity feed my rabbit colony of 30. It holds a day supply of food for the hungry bunch. Easy to clean, too fill makes it convenient to fill. Very sturdy , the rabbits haven’t chewed it yet. They do knock it over when it’s empty but while it’s full it doesn’t tip.

Simple design that works perfectly. I have three cats and it lasts for days between refills. It looks like the office water cooler lol. I have one cat that would regularly empty his stomach shortly after eating. I haven’t seen him do that in a while now. My idea was he can snack anytime and not overeat as soon as the bowl is filled. Seems to be working so far.
