I love using this vegan cheddar powder in my mac and cheese powder mixes as well as soup bases. I also use it on popcorn. It is very salty, but it tastes fantastic.

This stuff is so delicious! I use it daily for making cheesy-flavored vegan breads and pasta sauces, and I sprinkle it on salty snacks like rice cakes and chickpea puffs. I hope they never stop making it!

Everyone said this was too salty, a notion which I scoffed at because I am a salt feign. When it was delivered I decided to put it to the test in some in homemade Mac n cheese, I tried making it like the box. Boiled my noodles then added butter, milk and some of this vegan cheese powder. I added a huge spoonful - little to NO cheese flavor. Doubled it - now a slightly detectable flavor, with saltiness. TRIPLED IT - weak cheese flavor, slightly too salty for the average joe but edible. At this point, it tasted like salted pasta with a very light cheesy flavor, hardly any cheese flavor at all. It was also extremely, extremely watery. I decided to make a cold roux of water and flour to thicken it up.. which it did, but it still was very flavorless, and that roux certainly didn’t help. Finally decided to save this disaster and dump some Nutritional yeast in it + some cumin & pepper as a last ditch effort to save it and it went from a 1 to a 5 out of 10. But I couldn’t stop there. I decided to hold out hope for some more cheesyness and go big or go home & put ANOTHER BIG SPOONFUL of the cheese power in. That was a mistake. It took the salt level from well salted to burning the back of my throat SALTY. To a point where the water I was sipping with my meal became reminiscent of swallowing ocean water. I think the place this could be used is with popcorn as a topping. This isn’t Good for anything outside of that realm. It lacks flavor, it salty, and it does not get creamy or thicken up anything. It’s 99% powdery salt with a gotcha! “Cheese” scent that tricks you into thinking it’s cheesy. I was hopeful, but now I’m sad. Not recommended

Mixes well, not gritty. Amps up the flavor of Mac and cheese.
