Elevating Every Tea Time!
My current mid morning favorite is a truly exquisite experience. A light, subtle floral note graces the palate, a delicate whisper of spring that never overpowers. Its beautiful light yellow hue is a visual promise of the gentle, refined flavor to come. Housed in a pretty carved tin, the fresh tea leaves themselves are a joy to behold. This tea is a perfect companion for those seeking a light yet aromatic refreshment to punctuate the daily routine. Paired with good company, it elevates the mundane and offers a moment of pure, fragrant tranquility.

Fell short of high expectations
Expectations from Makaibari is too high in our mind. The springtime bloom First flush Tea by Makaibari Tea Treasure, delivered in an elegant package, tastes nice, but little short on the aroma. Hope, the future packs match our expectation. Overall good.

Loved this Tea from Darjeeling
Darjeeling Second Flush Black Tea is a sensory delight with its rich aroma and distinctive taste. The amber colored brew is visually stunning and the high quality leaves reflect its premium nature. Beyond its flavor its soothing for digestion making it perfect after meals or as a daily ritual. In just a week of enjoying this tea, Ive grown to appreciate its balance of strength and subtle sweetness, making every sip truly satisfying.

Lovely Tea! Brewed for 2 minutes with 190 water. Herbal, floral, very gentle toast finish. Mild, nuanced notes. Effective for my sensitive airway! Good value for legitimate Darjeeling.

These are very fresh, high quality tea bags. The taste is closer to a green darjeeling. There is a nice hint of muscatel fruitiness and grape skin. I steep 1 tea bag in 8 ounces water for 3 minutes at 185f. This produces a strong, fragrant and fruity cup of tea without being bitter or astringent. I follow similarly steeping times for my subsequent infusions (increasing both the time and temperature), and can get around 3 total steeps in each tea bag. The quality of the tea leaves could be a bit better. It is not whole leaf, but rather chopped up quite a bit. This allows it to infusion better, but is not an ideal indication of quality. The teabags do not appear to be biodegradable or plastic free. They are likely made from nylon which is plastic and far from ideal. I do like that this tea is tested for the antioxidants/polyphenol content. That being said, the "15.75 mg/g polyphenols" they claim does not appear to be exceptionally high. For comparison, Japanese sencha tea boasts 66.75 mg/g polyphenols. Overall - delicious and fruity green tea, which a nice muscatel / green grape skin flavor. These are clearly made with very high quality tea, although I wish they used plastic-free teabags.

I bought the tea because I love this estate and their green tea. Received this tea with a packaging date of one year ago. This means this tea is definitively not fresh. And it tasted and looked not fresh either. No green leaves after steeping. I would not buy this tea again from this source.
