Lifesaver for My Senior Cat
I can't say enough good things about the Tiki Cat After Dark Velvet Mousse Variety Pack. My 23-year-old cat absolutely loves this food, and I truly believe it has played a crucial role in keeping her healthy and thriving. Taste and Variety: The variety pack is fantastic, offering different flavors that keep my cat excited about mealtime. Even at her age, she eagerly waits for her Tiki Cat meals and licks the bowl clean every time. The mousse texture is perfect for her, as it's easy for her to eat and digest. Quality Ingredients: What I love most about Tiki Cat is the quality of the ingredients. This food is made with real, high-quality meat and doesn’t contain any unnecessary fillers or artificial additives. It gives me peace of mind knowing that my cat is getting nutritious and wholesome food that supports her health. Health Benefits: Since switching to Tiki Cat After Dark, I’ve noticed a significant improvement in my cat’s overall well-being. Her coat is shinier, her energy levels are better, and she seems more comfortable and happy. At 23 years old, she's still going strong, and I attribute a lot of that to the quality nutrition Tiki Cat provides. Convenience: The single-serving pouches are incredibly convenient and ensure that each meal is fresh. There's no need to worry about storing leftovers, and the packaging makes it easy to serve the perfect portion every time. Overall Experience: Overall, Tiki Cat After Dark Velvet Mousse has been a lifesaver for my senior cat. It’s a high-quality, delicious, and nutritious option that has kept her thriving even in her advanced age. I highly recommend this product to any cat owner, especially those with senior cats or cats with specific dietary needs. It’s worth every penny to see my beloved cat happy and healthy.

My senior cat is healthier!
I've had my cat Sadie for 23 years. The shelter guessed she was 2 when I adopted her, making her maybe 25. I've been feeding her this food for two months. She loves it. Until I switched her to this food, she was barely eating, barely drinking. She was losing weight, and her fur looked terrible. I thought she was near the end and giving her fancier food would be nice. I tried a chunky wet cat food, and she'd lick up all the juice and ignore the chunks, so I tried this mousse with real carnivore ingredients. Two months later, her fur is thicker and she eats the whole pouch. She seems more *here* than she used to, and just healthier in general. She purrs more. Super awesome cat food, with understandable and useful ingredients. Will keep buying!

He'll eat some of the flavors
Tiki Cat after dark variety pack - I couldn't get his favorites in a separate pack, so I went for the variety pack. He won't each the plain chicken, but loves the duck and the quail egg. Beef is a so-so he'll eat on occasion. I have no idea how someone would rate "flavor" in the suggested amazon ratings. I don't have a habit of tasting cat food. I also don't own a lab, so I can't judge ingredient quality. They don't contain grain, fruit or vegetable filler which is important if you are trying to feed a cat that doesn't eat enough. They also don't have fish or seafood which hopefully will help with thyroid issues. Things I like about it are: It has more moisture than canned foods. It's a mousse, which makes it easier to eat for my geriatric cat. These are some of the foods my finicky kitty will eat when he's on a campaign to improve the menu. Cons: The pouches are messy and you'll have to figure out a way to get the product out without leaving half of it behind. I'm using a wide spatula to squeeze the last bits out. That gets messy in a hurry. My cat eats only a third to a half pouch per feeding. So I have to store the open pouch in a zippy bag. The tear off top is a tiny bit too high to comfortably fit a standard sandwich bag. The tear off has become better but some pouches still end up with only half the top torn and have to be cut to remove the top completele. (i.e. scissors with cat food on them will need to be washed.) Tiki Cat really needs to work on the boxes they ship their pouch products in. They are flimsy and I have yet to receive one that wasn't mangled to bits inside the shipping package. If you think they are just designed as display boxes for stores, they are too fragile for that even. People who stock the store shelves shuffle the loose pouches into one of the few working boxes they have.

Our cats LOVE LOVE LOVE these. My old cat was ill, and this was the only thing I could get her to eat. We will be buying again.

I specifically bought this mixed package for one of our cats, who had cancer and two surgeries and is now missing part of her lower jaw. Since she has to eat differently eith her tongue, she really struggles with food that is too thick, too lumpy, or too runny, and we have been on hunt for foods of a more fine texture and mousse-like consistency. I read these Tiki Velvet pouches were such offerings. All of these varieties though are fine textured but also somehow gritty/ lumpy. Like sand and lumps are suspended in a churu-treat-like texture. The main texture is great and exactly what we were looking for, but the gritty feel and little lumps of solid food suspended in the paste negates any benefit of "velvet" mousse. I dont know if we just got a bad batch, but it was all the flavours so it seems intentional. Unfortunately this isnt as fine textured as their advertising led me to believe. I CAN blend them finer at home, but I can (and already am) doing that with other pates at home, and was looking for something that doesnt require so much additional preparation, and wastage, on my part. Maybe some cats will love this texture, so it probably works for many other people. But if you need genuinely soft, mousse-like food, this isn't it. It is hard to rate cat food on how well the cats want to eat it, since house cats can be fickle beasts and picky for flavours. I will say though that neither of my cats liked the ones with quail eggs. Might be touch and go for cats who dont normally eat eggs. (Mine dont.) Your mileage may vary. 3 of 5 stars for not being as fine textured as the labelling leads to believe, and for these pouch packages which I am not a fan of over tins, and might not be recyclable in your local blue bin region.
