Great little knife does big things!
Love this knife. It may seems small, but it does big jobs. It has a nice weight to it, not flimsy at all and well balanced. It makes small prep jobs go so fast. I have been using it consistently for a few months now and it's just as good as it was on the first day. Makes prepping all types of vegetables very easy, love this knife!

Seraded and sharp, great addition to your knife set.
I like that the blade is shorter than my 8 inch chef knife. It works well for cutting meat off the turkey bones.

Henckels is now international
By definition, one expects Henckels to be German. In this instance, that's half true. The materials are German, but the fabrication is Spanish. I wouldn't ordinarily think that was good, but I would be wrong. The knife is nicely made and a credit to Spain.

Not sure why the Negative Reviews
I am about to order my 2nd knife as this absolutely does everything i want...Slicing vegetables, chicken, meat...Anything i can think of. I dont know what those reviews are referring to as bad for lefties because i am and see NO problems. I actually have done 10x more cooking this winter and tell my friend to make sure that knife is available (and not stuck in the dishwasher). I am totally fine with the sharpness, design, weight. I dont know what a $100 knife excels at and will never buy/need one, but this is a reasonable price and great to work with.

Terrible
I'm a big fan of Chris Kimball. He's smart and usually spot on with recipes and recommendations. When he puts his name on something I know it's quality. For example, his peppermill is the best one I've ever owned. This does not hold true for this knife. It's garbage plain and simple and more suited to a Dollar Store shelf. The edges are unfinished, with the top of the knife weirdly sharp and uncomfortable to hold. The handle feels cheap and slippery. The blade is neither serrated nor straight. It's a weird hybrid that's seen on cheaper knives and does not cut well. The knife is not balanced. Overall, this knife is an embarrassing misstep for Kimball and Henckels. This knife is a hard pass and mine is going back asap.

My new favorite knife!
I use this knife on a daily basis. Bigger and stronger than a paring knife, but smaller than a chef's knife, it's perfect for how I work and my hand size (very tiny!). I feel like I have great control and the weighting is perfect - I don't get tired hands!

UNSUITABLE FOR LEFT HANDED USERS
Nice little knife. Fits all the descriptions laid out above. Good weight and balance, nice and stiff, sharp…but absolutely useless in your left hand. The way this knife is serrated, it only cuts properly for right handed users. If you are left handed, the knife drifts the wrong direction and becomes dangerous. It’s going to be great for my wife, but I can’t use it. Update: No, she hates it too. This knife is practically useless on anything except tomatoes.
