The Way Forward (The Inward Trilogy)

This book helped me so much. I bought this book after moving to a new city and feeling extremely “stuck.” I started therapy and read this book throughout the week when I could handle it. I folded the page corners of my favorite passages. There were many as you can see from my photo. It took me 6 months to finish because I had so much “trauma” and inner turmoil to work through. But I’m so glad I bought this book and committed to reading it fully, even when it shined a mirror on my troubling behaviors and thought patterns. It made me think and reflect. It helped me to developed compassion for myself. I felt so understood and seen. And of course I cried a lot, especially while reading in the last page. The book is so intentionally written and divided into titled sections showing how much Yung Pueblo understands the journey of healing. I was a follower of Yung Pueblo on Instagram prior to 2025. Then I decided to leave the platform after I realized I only like IG for the Yung Pueblo posts. So I decided to buy this book. lol I plan to buy the new book about love soon. Thanks so much for producing this book Yung Pueblo!

The moment I discovered Diego pen name YP, I was connected! It’s not often you find a writer whose every word profoundly resonates in the most essential ways. His unique writing style is a bit of a learning curve, but not at all difficult. I’d describe Young Pueblo’s writings as a conjunction point for our thoughts interpretation, where they integrate and inter-influence the metaphysical and physiological relationships we all have within ourselves. In opinion, I believe anyone at any journey level is capable of comprehending the revolutionary fundamentals and ‘oh so human’ universal experience Pueblo effortlessly identifies in all of his books… in fact EVERYONE SHOULD read his books. If it isn’t already in the Poetry, Literature, self-help, philosophical, or otherwise Mandatory Ban/To be burned section in your local bookstores (Audacious gibe) … I highly recommend this Peace Cultivating Leader and his books: ‘inward’, ‘clarity & connection’, ‘lighter’ and now ‘the way forward’ as your next MUST READ.

I love this author! I like the way the book is formatted, because I can read bite-sized chunks of wisdom in a short sitting. Typically, however, I am drawn in to reading more than I initially intend, because much of what he writes speaks directly to me.

Ever since 2021, I started my healing journey and had no direction and didnt know where to start. I started with the toxicity and trauma i carried and eventually found Inward at a Barnes and Noble. I read through Inward slowly and surely to a point where i felt like i could run on my own. When i started to reconnect with my friends, i found Clarity and Connection. Finding both books was no mistake at these times and both had helped significantly to further my healing. The Way Forward came out in a time when i was moving on to a new chapter of my life where i am drastically better and trying to further my life for my future. I have no doubts that these books come out when i need their messages and words to assist me with becoming a me that I am reaching. I am not done reading this book and i don't think i will ever be done with any of the prior ones because it is a constant journey, to heal yourself. i plan on buying another copy to give to my partner for her healing journey as she has started recently. Inward, Clarity & Connection, and The Way Forward are fantastic in how they convey their messages and really aid in the art of taking a new perspective for many different situations. Great works of art, would definitely forget them just to read again. 5/5 for all

¿Who better than Yung Pueblo to explain the meaning of the personal inner work that many of us find ourselves in? Diego Perez, in his new book “The Way Forward”, once again delights us with his poetic prose and on this occasion, he gently details the stages of the internal healing process. I highlight the ability of the author to bring to paper the depth of his own personal work to the point that the reader can identify with the process, taking us to the moment of healing of the wound, that moment when we are able to detect that we are about to repeat the pattern and we are able to stop and not fall into the same behavior. Yung Pueblo's books are evidence that healing is possible for everyone who works on it.

This book truly reinforces why we need to build better relationships with ourselves. It empowers pausing over reacting and more than anything it has given me tools in my becoming.
