My father has low vision and this advice allows him to hear the time & date with two push of the button. The sound is adjustable, so he can hear in loud situations. The size is pretty big also. It was easy to program the information in and it was accurate. The quality is very sturdy.

The volume is great for my WWll navy veteran Father-in-law and the button is easy to see and use. He was asking several times daily what day and date it is and this works great. Easy to use and always accurate. Worth getting for sure.

Great for when the elderly cannot see

This works well. Easy for my 94-year-old mom to press It's extremely loud for hearing impaired and is easily volume adjustable. The only downside if any at all is it's slightly distorted voice at times. Otherwise we're happy with our purchase and functionability of it.

Hard to understand

I had purchased an 8x12" tablet digital clock for my elderly mom, but with her macular degeneration she still struggled to make out the time or day of the week. There is no way mom would want to speak to a digital assistant through a wired speaker, and there is no computer at her house. My partner suggested a talking clock, and didn't even know such a thing existed. It does -- and this is it! Programming the device was fairly straightforward, and comes with 3 AAA batteries. Now with just a touch of her finger, she gets the time of day, and with another touch gets the date and day of the week. The voice has a slight accent, but is easy to understand. Mom catnaps on the couch throughout the day, and this frees her from confusion about the time of day or date -- and she never misses her favorite evening programs. It basically works fine, but very hard to decipher what it is saying half of the time.

I got this as a gift for my loved one. She couldn't see her alarm clock well during the night, so I thought to get her this. She keeps it by her bed now. It's nice and loud for those who need higher volumes, but it can be adjusted to go lower, if needed. It tells the time of day when pressed once, and tells the date if you press the button twice. I set the time and date for her prior to gifting it to her, and it was easy to do. It came with batteries which was a nice touch, too. Would recommend.
