Green Living Made Easy

I’m a huge Great British Bake Off fan and have seen them all. Nancy Birtwhistle is one of my favorites and her books are great! She tells you things you need to know. I am 72 and I am still learning from her. I love the fact that she believes in trying to do everything green. Everything I have tried both in cooking/baking or her cleaning/beauty routine recipes have worked for me. Her books aren’t big, fancy ones and I appreciate that. It took me a while to get it (price wise) but so glad I did. There are so many things in the book to help newbies and seasoned bakers. I definitely recommend her books to one and all.

I'm so happy I became aware of Nancy Birtwhistle while scrolling through Instagram. I've been following her for several months. She's delightful and every solution that I've tried has worked amazingly well! A white satin robe that I have tried many times to get the black off the cuffs and hem is FINALLY white as new again!! And the process was SO simple...just soak overnight, then wash as usual. As Nancy says, "Sorted!" The ingredients for her solutions are easy to find on Amazon. Some of the names are different from what we know them as in the US, but it's easy to clear that up by googling. For example, "surgical spirits" is rubbing alcohol. :) I can't recommend her and her books enough.

I watch Mrs. Birtwhistle on Facebook and she has such practical and useful advice. I decided this book should be a part of my stash of hardcover books for when the giant solar flares knock out the electric grid and I can’t charge my phone!

I absolutely love this book! I bought it because I follow Nancy on IG and appreciate all her advice and videos on cleaning things in the home. My favorite recipe in this book is the Pure Magic. We have hard water and Pure Magic cleans our toilet and makes it look new! I look forward to getting more of her books.

I watched Nancy on the British baking show and I love following her on Instagram. This book is a very handy reference and I'm enjoying it immensely. Nancy provides great options and solutions so that it's easy and cheap to be more green and better for the environment. And her formulas are so effective at cleaning and stain removal and all the things.

I like her story telling style, rather than a list of recipes. Very informal, informative and a pleasant read.

I’ve been following her on instagram for a while And I’ve tried some of her tis and every single time it’s a success. Sometimes she shares tips on her account and shares tags where a lot of people shows how grateful they are. You won’t be disappointed with this book. And it’s a great gift as well.

A great read with interesting tidbits and examples of what the author has done to go more eco-friendly. With each chapter there’s a new area to consider about where you can go more “green” with simple changes. Who knew I’d sit down and read this book in one setting! Much to learn and put into action. Thank you Nancy!
