Finally a toy that my cats enjoys!
This is an excellent cat toy. It's cheap, simple and keeps my cat entertained. Lord Biffington Fluffypants III used to live on the streets like a common peasant until he claimed his rightful seat, (the most comfortable armchair in the room,) so he's not amused by empty gestures or novelty trinkets. He has known hardship, what it takes to catch your dinner to survive. We've tried a whole range of toys from balls, wands, kickers, cat fishing, etc but he's either dubious or plain bored by them. Then we got this, and he loves it. The random bouncing motion keeps him on his toes and even though M'lord likes to play rough, it's surprisingly durable. We can play hard with him jumping around or a lazy afternoon of laying round trying to catch it before it bounces out of reach. Yes, it's a couple of pieces of cardboard on a wire. But it's utterly genius. This is the only thing that has held his attention. No, it doesn't beat playing with a freshly caught mouse in a box, but this way I'm not having to get rid of little mouse bodies. 10/10 Would Recommend. Will be getting another when he finally annihilates this one.

A toy your cat might actually play with!
Bought it based on it's good reviews and after seeing it's popularity on reddit. It's a shame it's not as cheap as it is in the US, but thought it'd be worth the punt. We have two cats and one of them loves this toy, it's basically little carboard tubes attached to either end of a stiff wire, you hold one cardboard end and waggle it and the other end erratically flutters around. Simple, but effective. Our otherwise quite lazy boy, pouches into the air for this thing, whilst our more active cat only really chases it if it's run along the floor. Either way, it's definitely a good toy.

Excellent toy!
It's such a simple toy, but my boy loves it so much. I've already bought another two! If you're careful with how you use it, and you don't let your cat chew on the cardboard, a single cat dancer toy can easily last over a month of use.

Big hit, but seems to be 2 different versions sold. One of lesser quality.
Great toy, huge hit with the little one. Bought a 2nd as he loved it so much, but that one came in different packaging, and was worse quality. Specifically the metal - seemed to be either thinner, or a different metal altogether - it moved differently, and didn't work so well. Bought several more in the hopes one would be like the first I purchased, but all arrived the same as the latter. Weird as they were only bought 1 month apart. Seems as though they're now made with thinner metal, that doesn't bounce and move as well. Disappointing, as original was excellent. New generation still enjoyed by cat, just not as much.

It's absolutely worth it, kitty loves it
You might think this is expensive for a bit of wire and cardboard but you'd be wrong, it is worth every penny, it's the only toy my cat has ever shown interest in. Most things are too big and he gets scared, lol. But he loves this, he demands to play with it every morning. It's simplicity is great. It moves like a moth, and I can just hold one end without doing anything else and cat will entertain himself for ages batting it about and chasing it's jumpy movements. Great little toy this.

The ONLY cat toy you need!!
I have no idea what it is that my cat sees in this but I have never seen him engage with a toy quite like this! He has been chasing it around everyday for ages and does not get bored. I’ve bought him so many other things and even variations of this product but nothing works quite like this. I’m so glad I bought it.

Obsessive
Well. At first I thought this was the best cat toy my new kitten had got. She played with it straight away, jumping all over the house for it. But she became so obsessed with it, she was addicted, would meow her head off and look for it when I put it away. She kept panting after a while, so had to stop. But keeps looking for it. I've put it away, it doesn't seem safe enough either, if the cardboard comes off it could spring up & hit them.

The Greatest Cat Toy Ever Invented (aside from a live mouse)
The Cat Dancer is a work of staggering feline genius. The erratic movements of the wire hit every catty spot and my cat has been transfixed and entranced ever since I opened the packet and dangled it on day one. He is still entranced a month later, and looks on with anticipation as I get it out of the drawer each day. It's also fantastic exercise for cats; my cat leaps and jumps when the Dancer is held high, or he races like a crazy thing if I whoosh and wiggle it across the floor. The wire nature of the Dancer means it moves very fast (much faster than, say, dangled string). But my cat is also entranced when it moves slowly. It's impossible to say why exactly it appeals so much to my cat, but it does. Occasionally, I've tried bringing out the old fishing rod toy with feathers. Cat was never that interested before but now it's just 'meh'. My cat also enjoys chewing on the cardboard rolls on the end of the Dancer, when he catches it. This is another good feature of the design, compared to the useless feathers of other cat toys. My cat likes to chew, so I will probably have to replace the Cat Dancer a few times a year, because although the cardboard rolls are robust, they are not everlasting - but it's so cheap it doesn't matter, and the materials are recyclable. And probably not all cats are so chewy as mine is. In conclusion, if you have a cat, I recommend you buy this toy now.

A fun and light toy! I tape it to a scratcher so that it stays dangling to entertain my cats.

I have spent hundreds of dollars on toys for my cat, and this is by far his favorite and costs just a few dollars. It's simple - just a wire and some rolled up cardboard, but he goes bonkers for it. The wire is of course very durable, and the cardboard bits are surprisingly tough given how much my little ginger demon chews on them. I've purchased these several times and will continue to do so.
