AMAZING PEGS AND WORTH EVERY PENNY
These are brilliant. I was sick of the nasty plastic pegs which break for a pastime and don't keep the washing secure - one puff of wind and my laundry would end up on the ground. Wooden pegs are a bit better, but still not great. I saw these recommended online, and I did baulk at the price a bit, but they're honestly worth every penny. They've managed to hold my washing on the line, even during pretty strong gale-force winds, and they don't mark the laundry at all, and being stainless steel, they'll never rust. I'm really glad I bought them. Recommended.

Buy once, cry once
Excellent pegs, made of stainless steel so they'll never rust. Strong, with two eye sizes on each peg. This means you can grip big items like thick socks, or thin items like shirts. They're strong enough to hold everything, even in strong winds, without the items flying away or bunching up on the lines. These are quality items, well worth paying a bit more for pegs that will last a lifetime. They are a design classic: simple, functional, sustainable, satisfying, timeless. It's kind of tragic I like them so much ... So good I've now bought about four packs in total. Slowly replacing all other pegs as they go brittle, rust, or leave wood fragments on clothes. Nicely packaged in brown card by the manufacturers, for a zero plastic solution. More expensive than disposable garbage, but well worth supporting the manufacturer who are trying to do the right thing.

Fantastic quality product
WOW! These pegs might cost a bit more but they are wonderful! If only I had bought them when I was younger I could have saved pounds on the cheap plastic ones I've bought in the past and then had to discard. I'm sure these pegs will still be in pristine condition years after I've gone to the great laundry-room in the sky! Seriously the design is good. No springs to break and stainless steel so will not rust (lifelong guarantee). I have arthritic fingers and have no problem using them - push down to peg out and slight squeeze to un-peg and remove from line. Well made and sturdy but easy to use. I would comment that those who have reviewed them as being "'too big'" for their clothes lines or "'not holding the washing tightly enough'" that this would not be a problem as long as you DO NOT push the pegs too far down on to the line when pegging out. Thank you Pincinox.

Highly recommend
Who knew you could get quality clothes pegs!! These feel like they'll last foreverr over the brittle plastic ones that seem to start to crumble apart after a little while, some may find it slightly awkward to use however as it works on the bent metal and that, may require a little force but all in it works very nicely! Not cheap of course, but environmentally a seemingly much much better option over most out there! Arrived in plastic free packing as well!

Excellent, robust and stainless, rust free
These are exactly as described. Single piece stainless steel which hold by their springiness and not by moving parts. Stainless steel which should be as described - completely rust and stain free and lasting for many years. My only point to note is that they are not quite so powerful as standard clips in holding holding heavy, thick material such as blankets or bath mats

A very tough cookie to beat.
I like these types of pegs. When they are made of wood the wood deteriorates when left outdoors on the line (or in a peg bag). then they become weak and either crumble or split - these stainless steel ones do not. Some up market plastic pegs can easily last two or three years left on the line and do not shatter like the cheaper ones do after 18 months. But sunlight does damage the upmarket plastic pegs - it just takes longer. Then there is the real problem of pegs which spend a lot of their life outdoors in the wet, dry, warmth and cold - they get mould build up inside and should be boiled every year or so to kill off the fungus including grime (lf in built up areas). It is boiling pegs for about 10 minutes in a of water with a touch of detergent in a pan that kills off all plastic pegs -Not these stainless steel ones. They cost around £20 and you can boil them as often as you wish for possibly 25 years. They are impervious to sunlight, weather hot/cold. Even the spring used is stainless steel unlike normal clothes pegs which are rust prone steel with a nickle coating which has a lifespan of 48 months before rust starts. So my advice is: you want shiny pegs which are capable of lasting 25 - 40 years that you can sterilise using neat chemicals or boiling water as often as you wish then they justify their heady price. If you are one of life's peg losers (you forever lose pegs by dropping them on the floor/grass and cant see very well to get them back or perhaps can't be bothered to wash or boil them when they've mud on them . . . Stay with the cheap plastics of the woodies.

No more broken pegs!
They're pegs. I should not be *this* excited about pegs, but I am! I have broken at least a hundred (plastic supermarket) pegs over the last year and I had had enough. I bought these, they arrived relatively quickly, and honestly? Next payday? I'm ordering more. There are many plus points to these pegs: 1) prettier than plastic 2) won't go to landfill if they break 3) no springs to pop out 4) not plastic (there's a theme here) 5) won't get sun damage because, you guessed it, they're not plastic 6) surprisingly, they don't seem to get hot even in the 'heatwave' the UK is having right now. Downside: 1) you might feel very old when you realise how excited you are about a metal peg. I love them, and will be getting more for me and also my dad as he lives in the highlands and goes through pegs like nobody's business.
