fits the miranda TP-35 tripod perfectly.
so I had been looking for a new release plate for my miranda tripods for a while after the old ones fell apart. I was sceptical if it would fit but its a perfect secure fit, dead happy with the purchase, for the cost it seems a good quality part and will last.

Fits a Miranda tripold.
Needed a coupling plate for a Miranda tripod - the original is now obsolete - and it fits perfectly.

Works like they did in '84 :)
Ideal for anyone still using the Cullmann tripod/support system with camera/spotting scope(s) from the early '80's on. Quick attachment and easy to use in colder weather when wearing gloves. I would prefer the older (original/early?) type with the thread underneath as well, helps enormously when converting cheap monopod/selfie sticks/extension columns to use a binocular in the Finnstick style. Current asking price of £14.80 is mad, they have been as low as £7.22 this year. Edit: Taken delivery of a second Revomax to add to my original early 80's and a couple of Crosses and took a some snaps to show how not to try to fit these into Cullmann heads. One shows plates sitting atop their respective heads ready to 'drop' into place once the locks are unlocked and opened. Note that the plates must first be fitted into the side *opposite* the locks. Another shows the plate, binocular and spotting scope all locked in securely. A third shows the underside of an early 80's plate, note the open thread which can be attached to a 'ordinary' tripod/monopod, etc. that isn't fitted for the Cullmann plates. Shoulderpod ~'82 or so and mini tripod from a Traveler kit a year or so newer and ?3400? monopod/head/centre column (early-mid-90's, originally had legs with a carry handle and shoulder strap fitted) on later ~2000 tripod legs.

Doesn't fit Cullman 3400.
Item is both too small and too large to fit Cullman 3400. Smaller than original QR plate, but too large to fit even when quick release is engaged. Item itself is fine; good quality, and with the correct tripod should work great. Marked as a four, rather than five, as didn't actually do what I needed.

like the original QR platform on a Cullmann tripod bought ...
Was somewhat resentful of the price, as I expected this to be made of plastic, like the original QR platform on a Cullmann tripod bought over 20 years ago. It turned out the be a high quality item constructed of aluminium, so the price now seems more reasonable! Fits the old Cullmann tripod QR head perfectly.

Please Release Me
I found it a little expensive when you can buy a whole swivel ball/socket or trigger for under £20 from this supplier

excellent quality and design
the quality you expect from this company I was lucky enough to get a cullmann tripod some years ago for use with a pochade box, one of these attached to the box making a perfect stable base for painting I then got another one to fit to a drawing board for use with watercolour and inks this one is for another board for charcoal pastel use perfect
