Harmony

Regarding literature, I strongly like poetry, particularly those that capture emotions and experiences that many can relate to. What particularly caught my interest in Author Whitney Hanson's book was her insightful exploration of themes such as love, loss, grief, and healing. I developed an appreciation for this book while reading it and after finishing it. Despite its ability to be completed in an hour or less, I prolonged my reading experience as much as possible. The added aspect of this book is that the poems are written in the form of a story, depicting a young woman's journey experiencing love, loss, grief, and eventual healing. ❤️‍🩹 It is impossible for anyone, except a machine, to read this without feeling emotionally moved. In my case, it transformed into a book that unexpectedly became a crucial treatment for my well-being. As I read this poetry story, I was profoundly moved and had to pause and contemplate various parts of the book. It caused me to reveal myself and compelled me to begin jotting down my emotions and thoughts that I had not realized were still lodged within me. Through this surprising therapy of journaling, I started gaining a deeper comprehension of what I was clinging to and ultimately comprehending that even though I will always long for my departed loved ones, I must embrace life while I am still alive. I felt as if the author, Whitney Hanson, was personally speaking to me when she wrote. I quote, “I am here, as long as your fingers can turn the pages, as long as it takes for paper to crumble to dust, I am here hidden in this book waiting for you to come back any time you need to be reminded that you are loved.” End quote. There is still so much life left to experience, filled with affection, contentment, tranquility, and delight. The moment has arrived for me to begin living it. I can’t say it enough: Whitney Hanson knows how to write and touch her readers deeply and make them think. I cannot wait to read all her previous books.

Amazing and beautiful

I knew nothing about this author going into this book. My wife bought me this book after several recent losses in the family. I was sucked into the story, the emotive tone, the rhythm, the harmony of this book within the first few pages. While I acknowledge and appreciate the connection to music in this book, for me, these pages of short poems read like a storyline from the author's life. While reading, I could picture a love-and-loss movie in my mind. At the same time, each poem so perfectly captures experiences and thoughts that any of us have had or could have. The poet's style is so simple and accessible, some may dare to say that some of the poems are cliche. But they are not. They are real, relatable, accessible, emotional, and powerful. They are the things that need to be said about the loss of a loved one. They are the feelings and thoughts that you wish others warned us we would feel. This book is good whether you usually read poetry or not, whether you have lost a loved already or not, whether that loved one was a friend, lover, parent, sibling, child, or even a pet. This book has been therapy without knowing that medicine was prescribed.

Very creative and inspirational insight about love, life and grief. Easy read, deep thought. I enjoyed it!

I ordered this book after following the author on social media. This particular compilation of poetry is not extensive by any means. There isn't a great deal of content on the pages, but there is a great deal of intellectual and emotional depth to be found in the author's words. Writing is raw, honest, and vulnerable. I very much enjoyed the work and I'm planning on ordering all of the authors other titles

Whitney Hanson has done it again with this latest book, adding another gem to my growing collection of her works. Each and every one of her books has resonated with me on such a deep level, and this one is no exception. Her writing is incredibly moving, capturing emotions and experiences that speak directly to the heart. Hanson’s ability to weave powerful narratives and poignant reflections continues to amaze me. If you’re looking for a book that will touch your soul and stay with you long after you’ve finished reading, I highly recommend this one. Whitney Hanson never disappoints!

The kind of book I was reluctant to turn to the last page, because what if it's over? But then, when I finally turned the last page, the fragrance of it kept lingering till it could. Yes, Harmony has struck the right chord of my head and heart, setting it on harmony. The chaos seems to subside, with the wounds trying to heal.
