Brodit 511483 Passive Holder Universal, Black

I've had several no-name, vent-mount and CD-mount holders, and they've always seemed a bit flimsy. One even pinged a clip inside the air vent, never to be seen again. Brodit holders have been my choice for many years now. Yes, they're expensive, but you get what you pay for. First, you need an adapter plate - there's one for just about every car, usually with 2 or 3 different locations. Then you need a holder. There are many types of custom holders to suit different phones which screw into the adapter plate. I've always gone for the unpowered holders, and this "universal" holder fits my current phone in it's case. It's adjustable, so it should be able to accommodate a different phone, and if I change my car, I can take it with me. I wouldn't use anything else now.

A great idea. Once tightened up it doesn't work loose and can be adjusted to fit within the range it states. Note there are different versions so make sure your device's dimensions fall between those stated. The base of the side runners tapers in so once you have adjusted it to fit the width of your device, the device slides into it and stops at the bottom. This provides a confident hold. If like me, your last few devices have been very similar in width, this should help keep costs down by not having to keep swapping the holder out. Also, if you are concerned that this is not the 'active' version with built in power, you will probably find that most recent devices have a much improved battery life and you do not require constant power to keep GPS and maps all working on a journey like you might of in the 'old days'. Of course, you can still pop a normal charging cable in should the battery get low.

I bought this for my Blackberry Motion handset as there was not a specific holder available. The holder fits the phone well but can become dislodged from the car windscreen pillar itself as the fixing edges are quite thin. Could do with more pronounced fixings to secure the holder better

This holds my Samsung S21 Ultra in its official silicon case. I adjusted the screws to set the width to allow just enough room for easy insertion and removal. There's a tiny bit of front-to-back play - as this depth can't be adjusted - but it's minimal and the phone is operable in situ and will not fall out. The only real negative is price: £30 for a bit of plastic and a few screws is a bit steep in this day and age.

Brodit holders are fantastic quality and the only ones I use due to their sturdiness.

Ottimo supporto utilizzato per Nokia XR20 con mascherina in silicone (circa 12mm di spessore) su staffa per Land Rover 90. La larghezza delle spallette del supporto si regolano la prima volta e poi rimangono fisse, in modo tale da inserire il dispositivo a pressione e non permettere che possa disancorarsi. La durezza dello snodo può essere regolato agendo sulla vite di fissaggio. La parte inferiore del dispositivo rimane totalmente libera, così come i tasti laterali. Ottimo fissaggio, soprattutto su terreni sconnessi e OffRoad. A corredo vengono fornite anche le 4 viti autofilettanti, per il montaggio sulla staffa ProClip 852583. Materiali di ottima resistenza e longevità. Prodotto professionale. Prezzo perfettamente in linea con la qualità. Nulla a che vedere con i supporti da pochi euro.

Ce support passif de téléphone fonctionne évidemment avec la fixation de voiture correspondante qu'il faut acheter L'ensemble est parfait du point de vue de l'esthétique, de la mobilité, de la solidité pour ce qui est de mon véhicule. Il faut y ajouter l'adaptabilité (support universel) Pour les infos, il est préférable de consulter également le site smartroute et le site brodit suédois en anglais. L'ensemble est cher mais on en a pour son argent.

Los he comprado para mi trabajo, compré en su día los específicos de Galaxy Note 2, con cargador y fantásticos, no obstante comentar si son para darles mucha guerra (en nuestro caso los quitamos y colocamos continuamente), que mejor comprarlos sin carga, porque cuando se fastidia el cable es un rollo. Posteriormente compré el universal sin carga y son los mejores soportes que he visto, no es fácil que se aflojen con la vibración del vehículo y si miras las dimensiones del smartphone y las del soporte, no tienes que tener ningún problema, pero HAY QUE MIRAR LAS ESPECIFICACIONES DEL ANCHO QUE SOPORTAN!!!! Repito, lo de que incluya el cable de carga, es una chorrada, sólo aumenta el coste y a medio largo plazo los cables o clavijas se fastidian y no es factible adaptar otro cable al soporte. Muy recomendables.

Nach dem Upgrade auf ein größeres iPhone (Größe 6/7/8 Plus XS Max, vermutlich auch XR) brauchte ich eine neue, größere Brodit-Halterung. Auch diese Halterung erfüllt gut ihren Zweck, ist leicht eingestellt. Nur an der Basis-Platte fürs Fahrzeug anschrauben. Neuere Auto-Basis-Halterungen von Brodit haben auch teils vorgebohrte Löcher für die schrauben, selber ins Plastik schrauben fand ich etwas seltsam. Aber hält gut. Ich bin ziemlich zufrieden. Ein iPhone 6,7,8 Plus oder ein XS Max in einem Spigen Tough-Armor-Case (oder einer ähnlichen, dickeren Schutzhülle) lässt sich gut damit benutzen und es hält sicher, auch wenn es ein minimales Spiel hat und sich bei druck etwas vor und zurück neigt (herausfallen kann es aber nicht, sofern man die Halterung oder das Auto nicht um 180 Grad dreht). Für vollständigen Halt muss man eben eine Halterung wählen, wo das Gerät eingeklemmt wird, anstatt nur von oben hineingeschoben, aber halte ich nicht für notwendig. Ladekabel muss man natürlich selbst mit bringen, aber dafür kann man die Halterung durch lösen der Schraube schnell an ein neues Smartphone mit ähnlichen Dimensionen umstellen. Würde ich wieder kaufen.
