Comfort meets elegant style with the Martha Nightgown for women. With an ankle length, this exceptionally warm, luxurious cotton flannel women's nightgown also features elastic cuff, long sleeves. Details of this wonderful sleepwear essential include a square neckline, a border trim of elegant ribbon woven along them hems, ruffles, and embroidered anglaise trim. To wear this style is to love it. Review: Simply the best … ! - I absolutely love all the nightgowns I’ve purchased from “The 1 for U” and I’ve been sleeping in them for an entire decade. Yes, ten years! I went back through my purchases here on desertcart and I purchased my first nightgown from this company in 2015 and all together I’ve placed 19 orders with them and purchased 28 nighties. If that doesn’t say “LOVE”, I don’t know what does. I prefer the really long gowns with the long sleeves and they are not sheer or see-thru. In fact they are very modest while looking lovely and feminine. The fact that they are 100% cotton means you can wear them every month of the year regardless of the season or temperature. They are an excellent quality, very well made, and I highly recommend them. Review: Excellent! - I love this gown. It is very roomy on me and I wear a 44DDD bra, so if you are large in the back or chest, or just busty like me, it will fit. I am 5'5.5" and it comes to the top of my feet. The sleeves are 3/4 and roomy all the way from the armpit to the wrist, w very loose elastic so they do not bind in the arms or leave marks. If you are large in the upper arms it will fit. It is a good fit if you are bigger in the chest ir just don't want to feel a nightgown binding you in the chest as you sleep. The waist and hip area is even larger as it has a general A line shape, and therefore, I think this would be perfect for pregnancy for an average size woman. The fabric is white, normal white, not blue white or yellow white. The fabric is soft and flexible but has some body to it, pretty much like a good quality all cotton sheet. It is not see through. The trim appears to be good quality. I sew so can recognize good seams, and this has them, along with other features that indicate quality construction that won't come apart. I am very happy with this nightgown. UPDATE: I have now washed it. Hot water and regular cotton dryer setting. Laundry soap and a cup of baking soda. No fabric softener or dryer sheets. The sleeves still come below my wrist bones and are at the base of my thumb. The body of the gown is still plenty large and will still accommodate someone larger than me (47 chest, mostly due to bust but would work for someone with same or larger chest size due to larger back etc). The chest did not shrink or if it did, not enough to notice. There is that pretty ribbon which you can loosen or tighten, to make the neck more rounded and that also snugs up the neck so it doesn't gape, and that was not affected by the wash, ie it still works. The gown length now comes to just barely the top of my ankle bone instead of grazing the top of my foot. I like this much better as it's less of a tripping hazard, so I'd say it shrank 1.5 but less than 2.0 inches. If you are petite, this will make it a better length. If you are tall, it will still be long enough. The fabric has taken on the appearance of a freshly washed and dried all cotton bedsheet. That means it needs ironed if you want it to be completely smooth. The trim still looks flat ie it did not curl up so that it looks terrible. It is not a balled up mess of wrinkles, just those gentle ones that good cotton takes on after the dryer. I'm fine with the appearance now and actually prefer it this way, so from my point of view it doesn't need ironed. The fabric now softer. The color is still normal white. I should add that it had a tiny bit of spilled coffee and some coconut oil on it, and I applied some spray and wash and baking soda to the stain and it was gone after washing. Because this is white cotton it will take dye very nicely so do wash it with previously washed pastels or white.

Beautiful, quality night gown!
This is an absolutely gorgeous, quality nightgown! The material is soft, comfortable, and I find that I can wear it in both winter and summer (keep in mind though, I live in Florida where winters aren’t usually harsh.) The size does run on the larger side. For reference, I am 5’8 tall, 156lbs and wear a D cup (40” bust.) I bought a medium when I usually wear large or x-large depending on the brand. The medium fits well but with room to spare. If I ordered another one, I’d probably order a small, which is usually unfathomable for a woman of my size and height. But yeah this brand runs bigger than average which I’m happy with because I like my clothes more on the loose side. The sleeves are extremely comfortable which isn’t always the case with elastic, but these are very roomy and I don’t notice the elastic at all. The hem has a beautiful double layer at the bottom as shown in one of the photos. I feel like a princess wearing this or like Elizabeth Swann out of the Victorian era, lol. I should note that it is, in fact, just slightly transparent. I wear a pair of light shorts underneath, but as you can see in the photos, a dark bed-time bra will be seen through the material. It’d be hard to really see through these but it was uncomfortable enough for me to wanna wear shorts and a light top underneath. All in all though, I am EXTREMELY happy with this beautiful gown! It’s everything I hoped it would be!

Lovely Quality Nightgown, However I Wouldn’t Call Its Fabric Flannel
I’m thrilled to have such a lovely, quality nightgown because its style is so feminine and the stitching of it is done thoroughly. The only slight drawback is, to me, the fabric material is not thick enough to be deemed flannel. I bought this intending to wear it for warmth during the winter, but I think it’s suitable for warmth only in parts of the U.S. where winter time is just chilly. In the mountain state subregion, where I reside, it’s common for temperatures to become below freezing. My sleep quality in this nightgown is great since it’s roomy despite the fact that I purchased this in size medium. I’m 5’7” with very broad shoulders for a woman and I weigh 149 pounds. This nightgown doesn’t have pockets. Its color is identical to its appearance online.

Immediately became my favorite gown
This instantly became my favorite nightgown. It's comfortable, well made, really pretty, and the fabric seems substantial. I bought it in black, and am thrilled with it - it's so hard to find cotton nighties that aren't pastel or floral. I'm 5'3", and the length is perfect, just to the tops of my feet. The elastic in the wrists isn't overly tight, and the lace and ribbon trim is not itchy. The gown washed and dried with only minimal shrinkage and no wrinkling. My husband even likes it! This is probably the best nightgown I own, and I'm definitely planning on buying more if they produce other solid colors. My only quibble would be that I wish it had side-seam pockets, but I want pockets in everything. This is a very good value.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE this night gown. Bring back the feminine and modest night gowns! This lovely white gown is beautifully made, modest, comfortable, and oh-so-feminine. It is so pretty and a joy to wear. Husband loves it and says it is so much prettier than flimsy and skimpy nylon things. I couldn't agree more. It's just gorgeous. I have already purchased another gown in a different style. Love that one, too!

It can be very hard to find affordable pure cotton nightdresses these days especially if you are tallish - 5'9" - totally love this version. Comes to mid-calf on me. The sleeves are three-quarter on me but I have long arms. Wasn't sure which size to pick as there is no guidance or correlation with bust measurements, chose Medium and it fits my 38" chest fine. The smocked front means there is a generous amount of fabric. Nice design, good quality fabric, well stitched and assembled (even if in China). Very comfy - just one tiny niggle with the elasticated sleeves digging in a bit and leaving marks on my arms, but otherwise plenty of wriggle room. The gauze bag was a nice touch and as others have said, would mean this could be gifted. Delivery was super quick (thank you Prime) and the packaging was fine for such a lightweight item. Will be buying again. Or at least, my husband will!

I read that some people found them slightly small so I ordered larger than I might have. I’m usually a U.K. 18. I ordered an XXXL I would probably have been fine with a smaller size as it happens but it looks super on. I’m 5ft9 and it’s a nice length on me. It’s a good quality (light weight) cotton and seems really well made. Lovely Victorian vintage look to it which suits me as I’m a steampunk. Happier with it than I expected and will get more without doubt. Being light weight and white there is a “very” slight seethrough quality though (nipples show through a bit), But that’s true of most white fabric. This is why I also got the dressing gown ;)
