Life changer!
Firstly, to learn how to use it go online and you'll find lots of tutorials - the instructions on the pack are vague to say the least. Secondly, don't give up; once you get the knack it's so easy - and dare I say rather enjoyable to use. I would say using it after a warm shower/bath is going to help, as the hairs pop out much easier and your skin is clean, afterwards I use a toner to refresh the skin. In the past I had some electrolysis sessions (I couldn't have laser due to be very fair) and they were expensive and the hair came back. So for me personally this is a complete game changer for my hairy chin - I haven't used it on the upper lip, preferring to use a trimmer there. As for the price, it looks and feels very well made and I imagine having it for many years, so while the initial cost might seem a lot, it's worth it and you get a free tweezer which is handy for the hairs that are a little too short for the facial hair remover to reach. When you think about the cost of electrolysis and laser (with no guarantee that the hair won't return), this is a complete and utter bargain!!! Highly recommend this for all us hairy girls ;-)

This is very good - when you get the technique
I just got this today and already wouldn’t be without it. It’s a fantastic tool, but does take some experimenting to get the result. Firstly, make sure you turn the handles the right way (in the direction of the little arrows). Secondly, I found how taught the skin is made a difference. Sometimes taught was better (pushing your cheek out with your tongue, stretching jaw wide etc), sometimes looser skin was better. But most important was, thirdly, to press the spring into the skin quite firmly (once you get used to it). Just rolling it over the surface lightly isn’t enough for some hairs/areas, you need to push it into the skin to press it in towards the root of the hair. This feels counterintuitive, as it does nip a bit and you don’t want to make it worse, but actually I found it’s less nippy if you press in, and more effective. I used the straight sides for larger areas - cheeks, jawline - & the curved middle for smaller bits - upper lip and above eyebrows. I’ve not been brave enough to try it below eyebrows yet (in case I pull out a big chunk of brow), and the website says it’s not for brows. It’s quite addictive and I’m really pleased I bought it.

Needs instructions. Go to YouTube
When I received this there were no instructions either in or on the packaging on how to use it. I rolled it over my face but it had no effect whatsoever. So I searched on YouTube which gave several good videos on how to use this. Step 1: hold the coloured handlebars in both hands Step 2: make sure both the arrows on the two silver collars are pointing towards your face Step 3: roll the bent coil over the area you want epilating whilst rotating the silver collars towards your face It does work. It works best on facial fuzz and less well on more stubborn whiskers. But it is good and it is less traumatic on the face than a full on epilator.

Do not get if you have really coarse/thick hair. Don't put yourself and your wallet through it!
It did rip out hairs on my chin, and I mean RIP OUT. It felt like it was tearing my soul out. But I guess I was expecting /some/ pain, the device coils around the hair and tugs it from the root after all. This is not why I'm rating it low, though - well, yes, partly why if I'm being honest. I've always had a lot of excess body and facial hair, it's always brought me down and I made the stupid rash decision to shave my chin/cheek/sideburns once when felt so down and ugly about my facial hair (it was never the fluffy fuzz normally meant when people talk about female facial/body hair.) Since then I grew darker, thicker hair in place (yes, stubble, essentially). Anyways, long story short, wanted to try this out. Thought hey it would be better than constantly shaving my stubble almost everyday. But nope. Big NOPE. Yes, it did take out hairs, but only some. And I had read many reviews and did it the way multiple people were suggesting - working against the direction of hair growth with the logo facing me and following the direction of the arrows. And I did prep face with warm water. It was way too painful and has left my skin very tender -even hours now after using it- my skin is bumpy where the few hairs were removed even though I have put aloe vera water serum and a post hair removal veet oil on my face. And I'm talking just as bumpy and textured as shaving facial hair/stubble does to your skin; if not even more so. So for the really hairy, guys, girls and nb folk who want to manage their lovely face stubble.. stay well away from this. And before the claims of "it works better on non-stubbly hair" come in, no it doesn't. At least not for me. I do have finer, longer hairs on the main plains of my cheeks and it did not pick up on them at all, really. The free tweezer that came with was okay tbh - the only reason why this product deserves higher than a zero star rating.

Very well made
Amazing hair removal spring. It takes a bit of getting used to. I watched tiktok videos and learnt to hold it with the writing facing me, and angle it at 45 degrees to the area being threaded. It picks up my pcos chin hairs really well. This is even better than the face springs from asia

Does pull the hairs out - but gave me terrible acne!
This is easy enough to use once you get the hang of it and it does pull all of the hairs out, it hurts but you get used to the pain after a bit. It might just be my skin, but I got sooo many spots and bumps all over the areas i’d epilated, which lasted for over a week after the epilation, makeup would never have hidden it. The results last a few weeks though, so maybe try an Aloe Vera calming gel or something after doing it to limit the irritation and overall I’d say it’s still worth it - just don’t risk doing it before an event or holiday or anything important like that in case you suffer a breakout like I did!

The product works as advertised. Instructions could be more precise. Only figured out how to use it from YouTube.
