Good Hammer. Good value for money.

The weight of this hammer is good and feels good with the swing. The idea behind using the red colour as the tip for checking visual fields is quite useful in day to day work and reduces the hassle of finding the red coloured neurotips. The red tip however developed a tear in the first week of using it and I was disappointed with the quality of rubber used. Also when you are previously used to do plantars by metallic hammers, with the softer rubber means you need to exert a little bit more pressure on the sole to elicit the reflex. And if you exert more pressure on the sole during the reflex there is a chance that equivocal reflexes might just be perceived as flexor response. But overall its better than the other plastic ones and patient comfort has been looked into very well.

Excellent product: previously bought a cheaper one which broke v quickly: well worth paying a little extra for this: head screws onto the handle making it much more sturdy, and the handle is made of thick plastic so is straight, solid and not flimsy/ bendy as the cheaper models. Well packaged in a nice box. Very pleased with this, shame I wasted money on the cheaper one first.

Manejable, recomendable

I have had this hammer for a few years. It is very well made and useful for reflexes. However it is can be bulky in the white coat pocket.
