Nokia C2-01 SIM free mobile phone

my wife already had this phone which I bought for her 2 years ago, excellent phone shame I couldn't by it now for the price I paid for hers 2 years ago, then £50 for a brand new sim free, now £100, but its a very good phone and we have a Nokia hands free set in the car, so really a no-brainer. Its not a g4/g5 or however many numbers you put after a "g" but it is a good mobile which does most things well, if I want a computer, I USE MY LAPTOP!!!

Arrived on time. Had difficulty in changing language to English. However I have e.mailed the comp any twice as the battery icon does not show any indication whether it is full or empty which is rather annoying.

i hate smart phones this is every thing i need. buttons no touch screen the battery lasts for ever nice and small fits in your pocket no problems. i dont want face book twitter or any of that. phone and text its a shame nokia dont start making the 515 again thats a fantastic phone but this phone is great.

I have had this same model of phone for a long time, when the phone eventually dies I have just bought another as these phones are very good when brand new. the problem I believe is that they have been out of production so long that that even brand new ones are old duffers. The phone I bought to replace my phone looks brand new but the list of defects are as follows - though bear in mind I switched back to my old, only slightly defective phone before all the problems could likely have been found: Ring tone - it can't find the memory card and has no other ringtone, even when it claims to have changed the ring tone it goes straight back to the nokia theme: I can see no way of resolving this memory card - very sketchy here, it is aware there are photos on the memory card but can't open them Random switching off - this does that A LOT (at least once a day) and it's the bad kind - it doesn't know what day it is once you jiggle the battery a bit as the normal on button does not work background - this can't change background, or rather it can but only until it switches itself off (see last point) hands free kit - causes an echo according to the person on the other line That is all I can remember in 5 minutes, I'll update this if I remember any more issues I had with it in the 3 or 4 days that I trialled it for. The switching off thing made it effectively unusable but refusing to change from the nokia tone was unforgivable. In summary if like me you don't like smart phones and you like the layout of nokia phones, you may have to do some research to find a new good model

Purchased this phone as I was fed up with my smart phone that seem to have a mind of its own, My wife has one of these and its so easy to use so I decided to buy one and Im really pleased with it. If you want a phone that's simple to use, makes and receives calls and text with a camera, also works with the Bluetooth in the car this is the one for you. Back to basics.

Slightly slow in response but reasonable battery life. Not a smart phone, but that not what was required, so fits the bill.
