Great mount didnt realize ita not inteded for weapons mounting. You coukd use it but it would likely cause the light to vibrate into a new direction. My bad I will not knock a star for that.

Works perfectly with my sidewinder flashlights. Have used them for many things. I have picatinny rails on my bikes and use these to quickly attach/detach lights.

Very simple interface. Clamps onto a rail on your helmet and allows for a Streamlight Sidewinder Compact Tactical Flashlight to slip on and off with ease. The round plastic disk of this adapter slips into the clip mount of the Sidewinder and then slides forward to lock into place. There's no modification needed to the flashlight, it will still work clipped onto a ball cap or into the head strap.

I have one on a team Wendy helmet and also a HHV helmet. It's an excellent piece of kit for the Sidewinder compact.

First let me prefece with the fact I'm using the larger sidewinder with the double A battery pack. This item has a place absolutely. If you need to move your sidewinder to free up a hand while you dig in a bag great. Attaches quickly but also detachs easily. You absolutely wouldn't want to go through a heavily wooded area using this as a primary light with this attached to a helmet (definitely not a rifle either) One good bump and your lights hitting the deck or since it also lacks a way to lock it from rotating your knocking your light up or down as it spins around shining every which way. I am also not a fan of how high it makes the light sit but that has the perk of not allowing for your helmet to cast shadows in your path of vision to a degree. So would I buy it again? For the price point probably not. My opinion may change as I get more field use but I can't recommend this product unless you find yourself needing to switch between hands and head mount but you could do the same with many other headlamps. Only perk is the sidewinder has somewhat decent IR for NOD usage.

Solidly built, does exactly what it says. Used with a Streamlight Sidewinder Compact 2 headlamp on Team Wendy Exfil LTP as the helmet mount that comes with doesn't fit the bump helmet. This mount fits on the rails and keeps the light very solid. Allows for vertical rotation. Spring loaded design ensures that it stays at the angle you set it too. Colour matches the Streamlight exactly (as you would imagine) is a little bit more green/olive than the coyote tan of the helmet.

Hinweis zum Kauf bei Amazon: Das Produkt kam trotz deutschem Händler-Namen aus Amerika, was ich erst nach der Bestellung bemerkte. Auf das Produkt entfielen daher nochmal Zoll Gebühren / Einfuhrpauschale von DHL - knapp 10€ etwa zusätzlich zum Angebotspreis + Versand. Kaufgrund: Ich wollte ursprünglich die "streamlight sidewinder compact II" seitlich an die Rail-Adapter meines Airsoft-FAST-Helm setzen.Mit dem zusätzlich noch benötigten Rail-Adapter (nicht im Lieferumfang!) den ich schon besaß und dem "streamlight-rail-mount-adapter" stand die Lampe aber dann doch recht weit ab (siehe Fotos). Irgendwie hatte ich mir das dezenter vorgestellt und nach der Montage hat es mir einfach nicht mehr gefallen. Tatsächlich würde ich den Artikel wohl trotz guter Produkt-Eigenschaften nicht wieder kaufen. Alternative: Wer die Streamlight am Helm seitlich platzsparend montieren möchte, sollte sich da besser das "Sidewinder E-Mount Kit" anschauen, ob ihm das nicht eher zusagt. Das Kit hab ich an meinem alten Kevlar-Bundeswehr Helm und hält dort super, fällt kaum auf. Am FAST-Helm ist das E-Mount Kit wegen der seitlichen Rails/Schienen am unteren Helmrand, aber vermutlich schwer sinnvoll unterzubringen.Für die schnelle Lampen-Montage am FAST-Helm-Nachbau werde ich mir daher nochmal den "Streamlight Unisex 14155" für die Nachtsichtgeräte-Aufnahme an der Helm-Vorderseite anschauen und testen. Info folgt. Für eine Montage der "streamlight sidewinder compact II" an Molle kann z.B. auch der Clip vom elastischen Stirnband ausgeschlauft und zur Montage am Molle-System verwendet werden. Sehr praktisch und kostengünstiger. Pros: - solide wirkende Verarbeitung - spielfreier Sitz an dem Rail-Adapter (nicht im Lieferumfang!) - Feststellschraube mit Schraubensicherung per Sprengring, so dass die Schlitz-Schraube beim Losdrehen der Mount nicht unabsichtlich verloren geht, oder die Mount auseinander fällt Contras: - Zoll + Einfuhrgebühren (sofern aus den Staaten/Ausland versandt) - relativ hoher Preis weitere Info: - über ein Raster der Mount kann die Sidewinder-Lampe in einem "Arbeits-Winkel" eingestellt werden.Der Winkel ist jedoch nicht fixierbar. Das kann Vorteile und Nachteile haben. Zum einen bleibt die Nachjustierung über das Raster flexibel und die Lampe über die Hand schnell verstellbar (zum Beispiel, wenn die Nutzung gerade von Weiß-Licht zum ausleuchten des Weges auf IR-Positionslicht umgestellt wird) - Zum anderen kann sich durch zu starke Bewegung, der Winkel der Lampe aus der ursprünglichen Beleuchtungsrichtung auch unabsichtlich verstellen. Die größere, schwere "streamlight sidewinder" eignet sich am Helm mit der Mount sicher nicht zu nutzen. Bei zu starker Bewegung ist aber ggf. auch die "streamlight sidewinder compact II" mit der Mount im Arbeits-Winkel nach zu korrigieren - muss ich nochmal testen. Wer eine stabile(re) Fixierung des Leuchtwinkels braucht sollte am Helm vielleicht eher auf eine ganz andere Lampe setzen - z.B. in Form der "streamlight sidewinder stalk" oder ähnlicher Nachbauten. Fazit: Wegen der Aufbauhöhe am Helm mit der Rail empfiehlt es sich genau zu überlegen wo man die Mount an der Rail sitzen haben will und ob man es dann zwingend braucht. Für das elastische Kopfband zur Streamlight ist die Rail-Mount nicht erforderlich, auch wenn das bei Amazon gern zusammen im Paket angeboten wird. Die Rail-Mount bietet trotz dem nicht fixierbaren Winkel eine gute QD-Lösung (Quick-Detach) um die Lampe schnell, flexibel und werkzeuglos an einer Rail am Helm unterzubringen bei Bedarf.
