Great keyboard for typing on lap, could be a bit wider for typing comfort
I love this keyboard. I had been using a laptop but I wanted to switch to a mini-format pc which I would remotely locate. The mini-PC is about 10 feet away and I thought I could use a wireless keyboard but that proved to be a solution which was not reliable (missed key strokes primarily). I needed to extend the USB cord for my case but I was easily able to find a USB to USB cable extender on Amazon. Initially I was looking for a keyboard with a traditional format and couldn't really find a backlit keyboard with that format which also had a touch-pad. I finally "settled" on this design but in retrospect this is a better design if you will literally use it on your lap while typing. I was as well initially disappointed that the backlit is always on but it is nice that you don't need to constantly activate the lighting if you stop typing for a few seconds. The things I wish were a little different: - I wish it was slightly wider, the feel is a little compressed while typing - I wish it had dedicated page-down and page-up keys - I think it would be nice if the Fn key priority was reversed for the Fn keys. I use the volume a lot and that's the main reason. - There is a tiny piece of something loose (broken?) inside the keyboard. I can hear it if I pick it up and tilt it side to side but whatever it hasn't created any detectable functional issue. In general it's very nice and I'm glad it was available because it seems there almost nothing else in this market to compare it to.

It's a good, USB wired, backlit laptop keyboard (but thick)
This is a very good keyboard but it has room for improvement in my opinion. The biggest downside is no dedicated editing (Home/End/PgUp/PgDn) keys. This is essentially laid out correctly and exactly like a typical laptop keyboard, which is mostly a great thing. I have used lots of keyboards over the years and here's how this one lines up with my preferences: * The Ctrl/Fn/Start/Alt keys are in the correct (same) location and order as on most laptops I've used. * The keys are normal laptop size, perfectly flat, and matte black. I prefer them to be slightly concave with a bit more of a nub on the F and J keys. If they were a bit more glossy, they wouldn't show fingerprints as much or so quickly. * The backlight has 3 brightness levels and can be turned off. They use 3 separate Fn combos to control it. * The touchpad (recessed) works well and is tiny by 2025 standards but I'm ok with that. A larger one would make for a larger footprint. * The size is perfect for a compact keyboard with a touchpad although it is surprisingly thicker (1.25") than an entire closed laptop. It's acceptable for my use case but I wish they could have made it thinner. * It is angled and has flip feet for a steeper slope. There are rubber pads that work for both angles. * The location of the 2 USB A ports (lower left side) is not really ideal. I would probably put them on the top facing away but this location is probably better for plugging in flash drives although the USB 2.0 will limit their transfer speed. Squeezing in a pod of the Insert/Home/PgUp/Del/End/PgDn keys in the top right corner would be great. Alternatively, putting them along the right side like some laptops or adding PgUp and PgDn keys above the left/right arrows would be a moderate improvement. I've often wondered why nobody has basically taken a laptop keyboard and built an enclosure for it, especially when older laptops had ones that could be popped out semi-easily. If you're looking to save 10 dollars, you can get the Periboard-525 which is the same keyboard without backlighting.

exellent keyboard + touchpad
I have a very powerful workstation I'd like to use in two different locations 60ft apart. One of the locations is my bedroom where I want to use a laptop lke keyboard + touchpad so that I can work when I am at bed. This is pretty much the only workable solition I could find on Amazon. This keyboard is very light and has all the possible connctivities. Th is extemely cnvenient for me. The only issue I can't find with this keyboard is that it doesn't come with backlite. I wish that they can add backlite and make the touchpad look and work like macbook. For now, this is a real solution for me.

HORRIBLE - DOES NOT WORK - DESIGNED NOT TO WORK
OH MY GOD I HATE THIS PRODUCT. DO NOT NOT NOT NOT BUY THIS. There is some kind of built in "feature" that kills the signal between the keyboard and your device if the keyboard is not level, stationary, and laying flat so that the bottom of the keyboard is covered. Forget about typing with the keyboard in your lap. If you type too hard so that the kb shifts, signal is lost. I'm guessing some design genius figured this would help users not mis-type things, but it is a nonstarter. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT.

Perfect except for no microphone mute function like laptop
I bought this because it was similar to a laptop keyboard. I wanted to tuck my laptop away but still have the same setup. The only problem I've had with it so far is that there's no function for muting the microphone like a laptop keyboard has. Only mute function it has is for audio. It's a bit thicker than other keyboards, but the flat laptop keys still make it shorter height. The keys feel exactly like a laptop keyboard because it probably is. It was plug and play just like a regular keyboard, no additional software. The casing does feel somewhat lower in quality, but it doesn't affect its functionality in any way.

Boot from USB and still have keyboard with only 1 USB port.
Works well. Allows you to add a keyboard/mouse to a tablet and boot from USB when you only have one USB port. Used it to boot Raspberry Pi OS on to Surface RT tablet, very cool. Next, I just need to install Raspberry Pi OS onto the tablet to make it useable. Windows RT is no longer supported, so the Surface RT was basically a doorstop. Fun fact, the Surface keyboard is useless when trying to boot from USB, apparently it's not a USB device.

As can be seen in the photo of my messy keyboard are, I have quite a bit going on. Firstly, there is the keyboard itself. Then I have a number pad, to its right. And below the keyboard, I have a DIY wooden palm rest. For this arrangement, you can see my ideal keyboard... A full width arrangement with a trackpad, and palm rest. By way of explanation, I've used a laptop 'forever' however, the first problem was that its trackpad wore out. It became very shinny, and unreliable. Then, of course, the CPU and Memory were consumed by relentless software patches and upgrades. So, eventually, I swapped out the laptop for a mini-pc, and hence, the need for a (monitor), keyboard and trackpad. However, focusing on the keyboard itself, there is nothing remarkable about it. It works well enough. The keystrokes are nothing to write home about. The keys themselves are a bit on the small side, and there is minimal edge around it. Also, there are a few standard keys missing (like, accessible, Home, End, Pg Up/Down, Big Plus/Minus...), hence the numeric keypad on the side. Overall, the keyboard is probably designed for compactness (which is not what I was looking for, but had to go with). For me, the best feature is that its trackpad is below the keys (not to the side, or heaven forbid, above the keys). For anyone who consistently uses a trackpad, below the keys, is the only position for it. (I don't use a mouse because of muscular tension/strain/nerve issues - very painful - and neither should you, as you may yet discover). So overall, apart for the layout design (trackpad below the keys), a pretty 'oh, hum' keyboard, but which suits my needs. If only someone made a full size keyboard, with a trackpad below the keys, and a palm-rest.

For my purposes it is good. Does not need much free space. Perhaps a bit overpriced but is convenient enough to use after few hours usage.

Bought it as a replacement for a Brydge 12.3 keyboard I was using in an ergonomic setup with my Thinkpad. This keyboard has the same layout and feel but with a wired connection. Trackpad is a little scratchy and could be better for my liking. I'd say similar to K400 in terms of quality. But I got used to it. Keys feel great. For me it's a 8/10 simply because I love the layout of the keyboard and feel of the keys and it's just plug and play, no bluetooth complications. If you're a Linux user, this thing is great.

I was searching for a keyboard with ergonomics similar to a laptop keyboard and touchpad, and this model is one of the few options on the market. The keys feel good, and the backlights are very handy in dark environments. You can adjust the backlight as well. However, the space bar sounds a bit harsh compared to the other keys. The touchpad is responsive and of good quality, almost comparable to laptop touchpads, though its size is an issue. I would love to see a bigger touchpad in the next iteration, which would help with multi-finger gestures. The mouse buttons under the touchpad are useless and very noisy to me. Its design also falls into a more industrial category and has some bulk to it. It's not something that catches your eye at first sight. Overall, it’s a 4-star product and would be very handy for someone who is used to the ergonomics of a laptop keyboard-touchpad combo with limited desk space.
