This is a very engaging, sturdy little sand writing unit. I am pretty amazed by how much my kids actually like this silly little thing, but they do. The like it much more than a plain tray with sand. I might buy another. The red sand is messy, but for the high engagement, I do not mind. Anything to get them WANTING to practice writing letters.

Cute but hard to determine how much sand to use so you can see what is being written. Kids just end up wanting to play in the sand and make a mess.

Love this sand writing! My preschoolers enjoy the light as an added bonus. Perfect amount of sand, but do like to change the colors out for variety. Great quality and ease of use!

I think this is a great concept but my issue with it is that the lid does not snap on. It is clearly meant to snap on but the one I received will not fully snap shut. This will be an issue for me because I plan on taking this to work with students in multiple schools. If you are just getting it for home use, I think it would be fine. I will need to keep it in another container or bag to be able to use it, otherwise empty the sand after each use.

Fun to play with! The first time my daughter showed interest in writing

This is a great learning tool for students. It was a perfect way to practice writing letters and numbers. It is great for at home practice and classroom practice. Sand was easy to keep in box. Light was a fun addition that made my son more excited to practice.

My students love this light up letter tray. They were so excited to write the letters in the sand, and I identify the letter that they wrote in the sand. I would definitely recommend this product.

It was cute. I thought my son would like it, but he didn’t like the noise it made. He played with it once and then said I hate the scraping noise and hasn’t touched it since.
