After repeatedly replacing rubber or felt stick-on pads on the bottom of my dining chairs after they came off, I decided it was time for a different approach. After reading the positive reviews I decided these must be worth a try. Wow, what a difference between these and the adhesive variety. Importantly though, these are best for wooden furniture feet or maybe hard moulded plastic, I imagine they would be very difficult fix into metal legs. These seem to have been very well made. They’re strong, the felt layer is adequately thick, good quality and firmly attached to the metal body, and the screws are concealed once tightened. I do strongly recommend drilling small pilot holes, as the screw heads damage quite easily if they meet too much resistance as they’re being turned, so the pilot holes help to take away that initial pressure of getting into the wood. For the same reason, you should also make sure your screwdriver is a snug fit for the screw. Now these are on, my chairs glide smoothly with little resistance along my kitchen floor tiles, making movement of the chairs effortless as you sit or get up or move them about. There’s also none of the judder or unsightly marks that you get with rubber stick-on alternatives. I wish I’d found these ages ago. More than that, I wish my dining chairs had had something like these on them from the start when I bought them. I definitely recommend these.

Firm felt pads held in a robust metal cup are fixed to the furniture leg with a pozidrive type screw through a central hole in the felt and cup. The felt and the metal cup look very well manufactured but only time will tell how well the pads are fixed to the cups and how hard wearing the felt is. I drilled pilot holes before screwing the pads to the legs and ensured that the screw ended up against the metal cup, well below the surface ot the felt. Very easy to do, but you will need to mark out and drill a pilot hole in all but the softest furniture material. I'm going to check the pads after a couple of weeks to get some idea how the felt stands up to normal use bearing in mind that when the pad wears down it could expose the head of the mounting screw.

SIMALA Furniture Pads Floor Protectors are great for cutting down to a specific size. I have used these under sofas, table, four chairs and stools. Cutting the pads does require a good knife. The pads are easy to apply and the adhesive appears to be good. They are holding so far. If visible, the cuts look great under neutral colours but do stand out under darker colours such as black. I found the pre-cut pads useless as they're so small I didn't have any need for them. I would have preferred bigger pads instead.

Having wooden flooring we needed something to put on the feet of our lounge and dining room furniture, so decided to buy this set as it came in all different shapes and sizes. Fitted the medium round ones on our 6 dining chairs, following the instructions carefully, and they've stayed put after a couple of months of use. Also fitted the larger pads on the dining table and although we don't move it much it's made it easier and safer to do so. Used some of the larger pads on the sofas, cutting them in half to cover all 8 feet of the 2 sofas. Up to now they have all stayed stuck in place, seem good quality, great value for monet and still got lots left to use if and when required.

Easy to fit. Just drill a pilot hole before yiu attempt to sctew these on.

Just what I needed to stop a wobbly chair

I ordered these for our dining table and chairs after laying new laminate flooring in the kitchen, these pads have stopped any scratching and reduced noise for certain. You get a good selection of assorted sized pads, plus some large squares to cut to size if required, I needed to use the medium sized circles and found there were enough for 6 chair legs and then had to cut my own for the other two chairs we have. I have seen some reviewers have complained about using these pads on chairs as they fall off, but I have very heavy wooden chairs and have had these pads attached now for over 3 months... never had to re-attach any. Maybe it comes down to the surface material.For the price, all-in-all, a quality useful pack of pads for a good price.
