Great little rod!
Love this rod! It's Been a great river rod, durable sturdy rod, feeling is great for those tiny bites, light in the hand I went with the 6'6" works perfectly for the size of rivers and creeks I fish

Comparable to much more expensive rods.
I’m a big fan of this rod. I bought one for myself and liked it enough to get another for my dad. I have quite a few trout rods: a Phenix Feather, an Ugly Stik Elite, and I’ve owned two St. Croix Trout Series rods. I’d rank this one second after the Phenix Feather, but it costs much less. It’s very similar to the St. Croix in feel and performance, but both of my St. Croix rods broke within a few months, while this one has landed plenty of 18-inch trout without any problems. It’s sensitive, durable, and affordable. I’ve used it with three different light trout reels: a Pflueger President, an Okuma Helios, and a Shimano Sienna. It works great with all of them. For the price, it’s hard to beat and I’d recommend it to anyone looking for a good trout rod without spending a lot. Only complaint I have is they ship it loose in a cardboard box, but it came undamaged both times, so not a big deal.

Very fragile in shipping
Let me start off by saying that I love the rod! It's super sensitive and feels great in the hand. I was less than pleased however with the shipping I was getting. They kept putting the rod in to short of a box so I got 2 delivered snapped clean in half! If you can find it locally I'd very much recommend buying it in person so you don't have to deal with broken rods like myself.

Best value ultralight rod
I’ve never owned an Okuma product but this one left a fantastic impression. So much so that I’ve bought another as a gift for a friend. This rod is surprisingly durable for an ultralight, has nice sensitivity and a great backbone. I’ve caught everything from tiny wild trout to trophy size 7lb rainbows and 5lb pickerel. This rod can do it all!

Disappointingly Weak or defective Rod
I’m an Okuma fan and have an extensive collection of their fishing gear. From bait casting reels to spinning reels. Heard a lot of good things about the Celilo series of rods so bought one to use for trout fishing. The order arrived with a broken rod tip. The box was a little beat up so I chalked it up as shipper error. Amazon sent me a replacement rod that looked good out of the box. I paired it with a Pfluegar President reel and spooked it with 4lb fluorocarbon. It sat on the rod rack unused for a few months before I took it to the stream to trout fish. Within a handful of casts the rod snapped at the base of the reel set near the cork handle. I was shocked and dumbfounded. I’ve never had a rod break like that. Let alone a rod that was used to flip a 1/16 ounce inline spinner 20 feet across a small trout stream. Could it have been a defective rod from the factory? Or another rod damaged during shipping? Not sure if buying directly from Okuma would’ve helped but none the less back to the drawing board.

C+ on a grading scale
First thing that I have to say is that this ultra light has medium action. Meaning that the bend is closer to the reel in the backbone. With this being said it isn’t the best panfish rod, but it will get the job done. I’m used to my ultra lights being fast action that have more of a bend toward the tip of the rod for catching panfish. I got several bites on my first use of this rod, but didn’t catch anything using 4 lb fluorocarbon on a1000 daiwa crossfire reel. One was a 4 lb bass. It threw the hook along with 3 other bass. It was probably the bait I was using that contributed to this though (1/8oz 6th sense pecos underspin). Due to the fact I didn’t want to lose my bait by breaking off; I didn’t try to horse any of the fishes in on the 4 lb line. Getting back to the rod it handled all the bites pretty good. I could see how the rod broke on several people mentioned in the comments though. The rod is pretty stiff and trying to horse a heavy fish in will break the rod. Even getting hung up could potentially break it. All that being said the size of this rod is good for small to medium fish. The backbone is kind of stiff while having little action towards the tip. The stability of this rod is about average using light line and gear. Catch performance has yet to be fully observed; being I only fished one lure; but as of right now it’s on the lower end of the spectrum. Overall this is a satisfactory rod for the price point.

Caught double digit fish with this ultralight rod
This is a very strong rod. I caught multiple double digit catfishes off this rod. 3-4lb bass. Paired it with 4lb mono, This rod bends but does not break. Best value for the money. Makes catching heavier fish that much more fun with this ultralight rod. My newest obsession. Catching double digits with an ultralight setup.

I am absolutely in love with this rod!!! So much better than my old ultra light rod, and i've been absolutely slaying the panfish since I got this! I also caught the smallest bluegill ive ever seen in my life tonight because its a very sensitive rod. I had to order another and its currently on its way.
