It cuts carpet. Possibly too well.
I bought this because my daughter had a carpet she needed fitting and, never having fitted a carpet in my life, thought it would at least make me look like I'd done more preparation than a cursory Amazon search for tools and watching half a YouTube video. It does the job - cuts cleanly, easy to control, and is accurate. The only problem is that it got the job done so quickly there was time to do more on the list.

Very sharp and cuts carpet nicely. However, it fails at cutting underlay.

Does what it needs to do.
I was fitting felt shingles to a roof - those things are death on a Stanley knife blade, and hard going if you've a lot to do. I bought this more in hope than expectation, but I wasn't disappointed. It cut through the shingles like they weren't there, and one blade lasted the whole job on a 17m2 hipped roof, so quite a lot of cutting for a small roof. I can imagine this will make equally short work of roofing felt, but if you're using shingles, don't even think about doing it without one of these - it's worth buying a cheap multi-tool if you don't already have one.

Mainly used to slice through cardboard packaging. Makes a fiddly job easy!

no better than a fixed blade
it will cut about a metre of carpet then it is too blunt to cut anymore , it will sharpen but that is not easy to do on a curved blade .

Ich habe das Bosch DIY Accessories Multi-Messer Multimaterial (Starlock, ASZ 32 SC) für verschiedene Arbeiten genutzt und bin begeistert: Es schneidet Teppich, Dachpappe, Linoleum/Kunstrasen und ähnliche Materialien richtig sauber und schnell. Durch die gekröpfte Form sind auch bündige Schnitte gut machbar, was beim Renovieren echt hilft. Der Starlock-Anschluss sitzt fest und sorgt für eine starke Kraftübertragung, außerdem passt das Blatt laut Hersteller zu oszillierenden Multifunktionswerkzeugen vieler Marken. Für mich ein kleines, aber extrem nützliches Zubehörteil – klare Kaufempfehlung! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
