Urban homesteaders take note: Urban/suburban trees produce higher sugar content than in a forest ( it's the unobstructed crown). In my yard with the "wrong" maples I used these taps to out produce the local farms (I live in Maine).

Beautiful chrome plated sturdy steel.It took me a while how to put the hook on correctly.I do not understand why the rib on top has rounded corners. This makes it trickier to hammer them in and pry out.

It's a very awesome kit for a super reasonable price, the only thing I can say that could be extra would be a couple small stainless buckets to catch the syrup
