This is a small packet of cards which illustrates the different types of heart rhythms that can be seen on an EKG. It is important to be able to identify the rhythm that a patient is dealing with and it can be a very complex matter. With this small reference made of hard but thin plastic, you have everything you need to interpret your patient's heart activity. The product consists of three large cards and two small cards, with a tiny slit cut out in order to add them to your ID lanyard for easy access. The larger cards are great for a student or to have at your desk. The smaller cards can be pulled out easily right at the bedside. When I was taking my EKG class I made sure to have these cards with me. Much more than just a cheat sheet, this is something that you can use right in the moment while taking care of your patient. It's not like you'd have to stop and go look something up in a book, all the information you need is right there. I found the formats to be perfectly designed; smaller emergency pocket cards and then the larger ones that can also be thrown in the hip pocket of a pair of scrubs. Overall if you are in need of this specific information about heart rhythms, this could literally be life-saving it is very clearly written, everything's accurate so far that I've seen, and it is in a very accessible format that you can have on your person at all times. Great for a student but also great for a veteran nurse to keep these numbers fresh in your mind.
