Helps me transfer pictures on my phone to a flash drive without a laptop or desktop. Very easy.

TL;DR; This device fails to connect over 80% of the time. To be fair, I may have received a dud. I don't know for sure. I was excited to get this product, as I have a need to take photos off of my phone on to a USB memory stick several times a week. This item seemed to be the answer when using AirDrop isn't an option, and even when AirDrop is an option, the steps of getting the images onto a USB stick could be reduced to one. When it first arrived it seem to work perfectly. However, after using it a few times, it started to not "connect" (be detected by the iPhone) regularly, where I would have to go through a few cycles of insert/remove from the iPhone until it would "connect". Progressively this devices became less and less reliable. It now just behaves like a frustration device. To give you an idea how long I have been using this item, I purchased this on April 20, 2024. Today is May 21, 2024, when I am completely giving up. As I said, it is possible the item I was sent happens to be a dud, but as I only purchased one, I have no way to know. If you have $5 to waste, do as I did and try to see if it works for you. Otherwise, save your $5 for something else. I really wished this device worked as advertised. I would be a great aid to my weekly workflow. Sad.

Needed an adaptor for my phone to laptop

Worked right out of the box. Easy to understand instructions. Great price and fast shipping. I am using this drive to download the pictures from my phone.

This does allow me to access files on a USB drive where I saved pictures years ago. However, it has to access using Files. There is no easy way to save to Photos. The frustrating part though is that it randomly stops communicating with my iPad and I have to unplug the drive and start again. I am glad to have a way to view files on my iPad, but not happy about the disconnect issue. It works. It just requires patience.

Works well when I tried it first time in my iphone 8 and iphone 12. Transferring of files and photos was fast using this product and standard usb. 👍
