Updated: A solid option. Just choose your size carefully and opt for a size larger if in doubt.
Bought from Amazon as next day delivery option available and needed urgently due to suffering a really painful leg strain. Read all the reviews and went to the NRS website to get more specific details on weight bearing capacity and length. After careful consideration I opted for the extra long since, despite being just 6ft tall, I have a long body and shorter legs. The range of adjustment seems ideal so I would suggest to choose a size larger than you think you need, particularly if you are toward the top of the range in a size as the overlap between sizes is good. I got my physiotherapist to set them up for me. They feel solid and I am confident they can support my weight. The handles are comfortable and easy to grip. The feet are pretty solid on most surfaces but be very careful on leaves and moss as nothing grips well on those surfaces. Overall a good value buy. I am using them every day for the last week with no issues. Update: I have had these for 3 yrs now and they are still going strong. Needed replacement feet (22mm & under £5 for 4) twice but still in good functional condition overall. Not used regularly but keep in car for when need when sciatica rears it's painful head on occasions.

better spec than expected
I got these because the hospital lost mine while I was in for a few months. They gave me a new replacement pair that are only long enough if i am not wearing shoes, so not practical for leaving the house - which i told them. The hospital said the ones they gave me were the longest they could find in the catalog, but they are the same make as these ones i got from amazon (hhmmm!?). I am 5'11" and i ordered the extra long, just incase, and so if i wear my hiking boots (ankle support for my hypermobility/EDS) i need the extra height. my husband is 6'2" and these are long enough for him at mind extension and i dare say they would fit my brothers that are 6'6". it says the max weight is 160kg on these ones i received and seem very sturdy. they do arrive shortened as much as possible to fit in the box, so i had the husband tug the legs out for me and check everything was ok. The price was really good too (under £16). very impressed. no, they are not as good as my old ones (those were 11+ years old), but they don't seem to make those type anymore. the arm cuffs I am not too sure how sturdy they are, my old ones were metal and plastic joints, not pure plastic. the hand grips on these are ok, I didn't want the type some crutches have with the new type molded hand grip which has to be used specifically for the left or right arm/hand - i tried some in the hospital and didn't like the feel nor the constant need to check if it is a lefty or a righty stick - not practical when you are in a hurry (aka to get to the loo). So if you are taller than the average bear, these should do the trick.

Brilliant As Much Needed Support
Extra Long Size Purchased. I'm 5ft 5in and 12st 8lbs and had no idea what size I needed, other reviewers proved unhelpful as they all seemed to disagree about size to buy for height and weight of patient so I played safe and bought the extra long fully expecting to have to chop a bit off the bottom. Not so, below the handle the shortest setting seemed to be right for me. Above the handle was already set at the shortest setting and I found that the next setting up giving that bit of extra length was better for me. They are extremely easy to adjust once you twig that the buttons that go in the holes are actually both sides of the crutch not just one, and of course have to be squeezed together so you can twist and pull the tube to the desired setting. I've never in my life used crutches before so it took me a few minutes to get the hang of them but now I have, the huge difference they've made in helping me to get about indoors and do the most simple things has been a huge help and relief. One thing I would say is be absolutely sure you are within the weight range advised for the size crutch you buy or like some people have said, you will break the handles or buckle the tubes. In terms of comfort, the only problems I foresee is pain in the HEELS OF MY HAND if I use them for prolonged periods (You don't realise just how heavy you are until you use the crutches) so I'm going to look into purchasing some sort of pads for the handles. I'm so glad I bought these, I wish I'd done it years ago instead of trying to muddle on and cope. Quality of the item is excellent and I really can't find any faults at all, Well done to 'Coopers' for a well made product.

Good Product but Delivery Issues
Would have been 5 stars were it not for delivery issues. Ordered these as the ones provided by the NHS following my knee replacement were too small. The product was just what I needed but I was slightly let down by the delivery. Initially it was due for delivery on 17 September. Although there was a Royal Mail Tracking number they were never despatched by the Company. They did eventually arrive on 20 September. However one part was missing. Made contact through Amazon and they despatched the same day and the missing part arrived on 21 September.

Reasonably priced crutches which proved to be very helpful
I bought these for my husband who has severe arthritis in both legs. He has been using a normal walking stick for some time but lately has sometimes had to use two stick when his arthritis was particularly bad. He really found this awkward and it was impossible to carry anything when using 2 sticks. I suggested he try these crutches, feeling that by fitting around his arm, they would be more secure. He has found this to be the case and he finds them quite comfortable to use. He is also far less likely to drop them. He can even manage to carry some items when using them. I chose this particular set of crutches as they were reasonably priced in comparison with most other brands. I was unwilling to pay a lot for something which I was unsure he would use and find helpful. I have also bought an NRS product before and it was good quality. I also chose this set as they came in extra long. He is 6' 1"" and often finds standard products to be too short. Overall, this was a good buy.

Cannot complain for the money...
Had to quickly purchase these when a leg problem suddenly knocked out my mobility . Easy to assemble and easy to adjust for height. Good rubber end pads made them fairly stable on all surfaces and the padded shaped handles were very comfortable, although it should be noted that the handle design does mean the crutches are not interchangeable and are fixed for left hand and right hand use. The only slight issue I had with these particular ones was that I purchased the medium ones ( I think it was the only option at the time or the Long ones were not available ) and I am 5ft 10inches tall and had to have them on the maximum length setting, and even then they were probably an inch or so too short for correct long term use. They were perfectly fine for the short two week period I needed them to give me some mobility during my leg problem, but if you are looking to these for constant use I would possibly consider the longer option if you are equivalent height or taller..

SIMPLY A GREAT PRODUCT
Just what I was looking for & at a reasonable price. Easily adjustable, lightweight & supports a person up to 25 stone. I particularly like the fact that the handles can fit into either hand. NO FAFFING about with shaped handles which are either left or right. I'm 6ft 2in, & there is still plenty of room for adjustment. Unfortunately, I have a permanent spinal injury, these will help me to be more mobile. Pukka Job.
