Best Cold Weather Hiking Pants!
I purchased these pants for a February trip to Patagonia, where it can be cold, wet, and windy. I ended up wearing these every day for the week we were traveling through Argentinian and Chilean glacier fjords by boat and foot. Most days the temps were in the low 40’s (F) with wind gusts up to 35 mph. These pants are truly wind proof and water resistant, while also being sturdy, well-fitting and comfortable. I highly recommend them as an alternative to bulky ski pants, which are not designed for hiking. For reference, I’m 5’9” and 148 lbs and the Medium fit me perfectly.

Warm, Well-Made, Comfy & True to Size :)
VERY happy with these! Needed something warm yet comfortable for daily winter hikes with my pooch and for winter chores - shoveling, snowblowing.. We live in upstate NY, Catskill mountains, and winters can be super cold and damp. Regular ski pants are too bulky and stiff IMHO. These are well made, sturdy fabric yet flexible and move with you in all the right places. They run true to size chart: I'm usually a small/petite length and got a Medium Short so I could layer - I have room for heavy leggings or cotton skinny jeans. A small would have probably been fine, I may order another in small for spring/fall. For reference, I'm 5'3, 135lbs, curvy/athletic build. I did not think them high-waisted or short-waisted, pretty much "normal", and the length is perfect and as per the size guide. It's not easy to find pants that aren't made for 6' + women and the length was perfect to tuck in my snow boots or cuff with my hikers without being bulky or having to hem. As other reviewers mentioned, it comes with a belt (which is awful - I couldn't even unbuckle it) and unnecessary, (they should bypass the belt and lower the price!) in fact, the belt was a stark contrast to the quality of the pants. Just buy the pants and toss the belt. The waistband is flexible and I really like the clip closure, easy to maneuver even with gloves on. And the detailing below the waist is flattering - they are stylish enough for a run to town without looking like the kid from A Christmas Story :) It's been very rainy, wet and snowy this winter and they certainly kept the damp chill out, and did not feel damp or wet after a long hike or shoveling. And I love the fabric stays super clean and doesn't pick up lint or pet hair! Kept me warm and comfortable! A solid purchase.

Warm Pants!
The pants are warm and fit well. The waist is a little snug so I ordered another pair in Medium (Regular, I think). The knees are flexible as well as the rest of the pant. The belt is flimsy and too long, but I know I can get a much better web belt later. I would have given five stars except for the belt.

Great active outdoor winter pant
For reference - I'm 5'6, 170lb athletic build F (with a bit of middle age fluff) and purchased size Large, Black pants. I purchased these in the fall, and its finally cold and blustery here in the midwest US. Wore them this morning to play with my pup in 12 degree windchill, with snow and wind coming down. They performed splendidly! I wore a high quality base layer underneath these Benboy pants, and they fit well with room to move. They are comfortable, lightweight, flexible, and very functional. The waistband has elastic gathering in strategic places that allows for give, but also remains flattering since it's not a full elastic waist. The pockets have ample room and you can carry several things if needed. I really REALLY love the textured/rugged knee area - its not so stiff to be bulky, but its rugged enough to deal with a jumping dog and ice and crud on the ground. The bottom of the pants have ample room for boots to be worn underneath, but because the pants are lightweight and flexible, you could tuck them into boots as well. They performed amazingly against the cold, windy, blustery 12F temps for 2 hours of pup time. They were completely windproof, stayed dry, staved off several puppy attacks :) and with a slight brushing off, they looked like they just came out of the package. I cannot say enough for these pants for light to moderate outdoor winter activity. I am very pleased with them and will be ordering additional pairs. The pricepoint of these pants is out of this world. I'd expect to spend 4x as much for this quality! ***Came back to edit this review after wearing these pants non-stop through winter storm Elliot (December 2022). I had to take my 6 month old puppy out in -40f with 30-50 mph winds, several times a day and night. With a high quality base layer and the baleaf fleece lined tights (also sold on anazon) under these, they were rock solid. Completely wind and cold proof. If you think your should buy a pair of these, the answer is a resounding YES!! I have 2 pr and will but a few more in other colors. At this price point, there is nothing that comes close! Thanks again for such a great product!!!

nice and soft on the inside , look nice on. I am 5' 3" 122 lbs and the small fit too large and baggy for me so i returned for the XS which fit better. They are too long in the leg of course but i just fold them under . I originally wanted to be able to wear these over leggings and there is still room for them under the XS but the soft fleecy inner fabric grips the leggings and is not comfortable . Thankfully they are thick and warm enough on their own without another layer underneath.

Ok so someone who is 135 pounds said the medium doesn’t fit. I am the same weight maybe even 5-10 pounds more sometimes, but I’m also 5’8… I’m a size 6-8, (canada, or USA in normal size not those brands that pretend that a size 12 is a 6) depending on the month - it fits perfect for me but if you carry all your weight on your waist it won’t, I’m a true hourglass in shape, so maybe that’s why. It’s almost tight on my butt but enough room for fleece jean/legging AND compression thermal wear First thing I did: poured water on it. To see if it got wet. It didn’t! It rolled onto the floor! That’s exactly what I wanted There are elastic panels on the waist band part, mine are barely stretching when I put it on, it fit, yet if you have a big butt I’d say that’s the tightest part. These are better than 100$ Columbia snow pants lol, but they’re not as bulky - you may sacrifice a tiny bit of warmth for looking a little cute idk but I’ve never been cold with them And it’s negative 30 degrees Celsius in canada and it’s blizzarding (total white out/3 feet visibility). Maybe I’d get something thicker for the Arctic but for my daily hour walks it’s perfect

These are super durable I wore them at work and wore them through out the winter in -30 -40 degrees with another pair underneath I felt that they were perfect.
