Strong and versatile
I needed a renter friendly hook that would be versatile. I have found it with the large utility command hooks. I used 3 of these to span the length I needed to hang curtains. One at each end and another in the middle to support the 84” length. These are large enough they can accommodate a 7/8” curtain rod without a big end cap and a rod pocket style curtain. I’ve seen other reviews saying these hooks do not stick. I haven’t found this to be the case. You must follow the instructions exactly as written. 1. Confirm the hook type, size and weight capacity. 2. Preparation of the area: Wipe the wall or surface with rubbing alcohol and a soft cloth. Microfiber works well since it doesn’t leave fibers behind. Do an area twice the size intended for the hook placement. Let dry. 3. Place the adhesive strip to the hook. Note: There are two sides. The red side is for the hook. Remove the red liner and press the adhesive to the hook for 10 seconds to 15 seconds. 4. Remove the black liner and press the hook to the wall for 10 to 15 seconds. 15 seconds seems adequate. The 5 additional seconds does make a difference. 5. Temporarily remove the hook from the wall by lifting straight up. The adhesive part of the hook will remain. Press the adhesive part of the hook firmly for 30 seconds. Slide the hook back on. 6. Wait 1 hour for the adhesive to securely bond to the wall. Repeat, wait 1 hour. Don’t get in a rush. Don’t skip a step. The instructions are written for a reason. To remove the hook: Slide the hook off by lifting straight up so the adhesive part remains. Gently hold the base and pull the tab straight down. Do not pull away or out from the wall. It will break. Should the tab break use some waxed dental floss and start at the top and gently ease it down against the wall to release the adhesive from the wall or surface. Command Hooks have been a life saver for a renter where the landlord has said no nails, screws or anything that puts a hole in the wall, door, cabinet. Or other adhesives that damage a surface. I have found them to be quite versatile for a variety of uses whether using the small hooks or large ones. They’re not the most attractive item to use but I have seen more colors being added to the Command Hook line up. They’re are a bit expensive but in comparison to having to pay for repairs from nail damage or other adhesive products that strip the paint Command Hooks are worth the cost. They are surprisingly strong for something made of plastic. However, remember they are plastic and while they are long lasting they will at some point need replaced. I will continue to buy and use Command Hook products.

Strong Hold, No Damage
These Command hooks work great. They hold up to 5 lbs with no problem, and the adhesive strips come off clean without damaging the wall. Super easy to stick on, and they stay put. Perfect for bags, coats, towels, or anything you want to hang without drilling.

these are excellent for my needs
These hooks are easy to use and easy to apply. They are decent quality and look better than a hole in the wall. I mainly use these in my garage to hang various things like grill tools, dust pans, flashlights and the like. Most of what I have is probably under 5 libs but I wanted the larger hook for versatility. They stick well and work great for what I have asked of them. My garage is unheated / uncooled in the midwest and used these there at my previous home where they stayed in place for 10 years. I bought a new home and immediately bought these for the same use. I do also use some in an indoor storage closet and on plywood organizer in the basement. These let me organize things more effectively both for use and increased storage capacity

Strong hold zero damage
Strong hold, zero damage — exactly what I needed I’ve tried a lot of adhesive hooks over the years, and these Command 5-Pound Utility Hooks are easily the most reliable. The plastic hooks feel sturdy, not flimsy, and they actually hold the weight they claim. I’m using them for things like backpacks, light tools, and even a small gym bag, and they haven’t budged. Installation is super simple—just clean the wall, stick the strip on, and press the hook in place. No nails, no holes, no mess. The best part is removal: they come off clean without peeling paint or leaving residue, which is a huge win if you like to rearrange or keep walls looking fresh. I also like the clean, simple look—they blend in well and don’t stand out like bulky hardware. Pros: True to the 5-pound weight rating Easy to install and remove No wall damage or sticky residue Durable plastic design Cons: You do need to follow the instructions (especially letting the adhesive set) for best results Overall, these are a no-brainer if you want a strong, damage-free hanging solution. I’ll definitely be buying more.

Reliable and Easy-to-Use Command Utility Hooks
I’ve repurchased these Command Utility Hooks multiple times because they’re really handy and durable. I used this hook to hang two 36-inch Christmas wreath outside for a month and a half in a very windy place, and it held the weight well and remained completely stable without moving. They’re also easy to remove when needed. The only downside is the price, which is a bit high, but compared to cheaper brands, these hooks are actually more cost-effective and much easier to use. They work perfectly for hanging items on walls and sticking securely. I will definitely repurchase, although I might try metal hooks in the future. I just hope the price comes down a bit, then it would be perfect. Pros: • Durable and reliable • Holds heavy items securely • Stable even in windy conditions • Easy to remove without damage • More cost-effective than cheaper brands • Simple and convenient to use Cons: • Price is relatively high

My go-to inexpensive great kitchen hack
I have found Command hooks to be extremely useful in my kitchen where I use various types of Command products to hang pot holders, a poster that blocks my circuit breaker box, shopping tote bags, and a much needed step ladder. They are a very inexpensive DIY design-hack. The plastic hooks like these do wear out over time. So after about 2 years one of the hooks holding my step ladder snapped. That's not a slam on the product. It's good long life for a hook that gets used all the time! I was able to easily replace it with a new hook. I had to remove the old sticky strip which took patience. I used a hair blower for more than a minute to warm up the glue and was able to slowly work it off without leaving a mark. I cleaned and prepped the wall with alcohol and then put the new hook on and voila -- perfect storage for my step ladder! My only critique is that while sometimes the hooks wear out especially if you are using them to prop heavy items and keep them in place, I wish I could have bought one or two hooks in a package as I dislike storing stuff, and I may not need another hook for a good long while.

Good for temporary use in hotels that dont have hooks in right places to hang in bathroom
good value and work but trying to take off can be hard if you dont pull tape correct, best with plier that can grip better than your finger

Strong hooks for everyday organization
These are great for coats, bags, and frequently used items. They hold well when installed properly and remove cleanly when you pull the tab as directed. The pack includes extra strips which is handy for moving hooks around later.
