I have used many different brands and so far this is my go to brand. These are the best because they are the smallest, most secure and blend-able beads. excellent quality and secure for very thin fine hair. Less noticeable and a better color match for all blondes. Most beads are very yellow in color and this is the most natural root/scalp color. I would definitely recommend.

I was looking for beads that could be used for fairy hair but wouldn't be as large and noticeable as the beads that come in the kits (5mm). The 3mm fit the bill in that they are suuuuuuper tiny and much more difficult to see once you get them in your hair. That's the upside. The downside is that they're more difficult to work with because crochet tool that comes with the kits is too large to fit through the bead hole, so you have to stick each piece of tinsel on one at a time. I then used a thread (like sewing thread) to loop my hair through the bead. (See picture...the yellow thread is what I used to loop around my hair and pull it through the bead.) You'll only get 5-10 strands of hair to go through, so divide each hunk of hair down to just a few strands. Some of the silicone rings wanted to slide out of the bead, so keep an eye on that. I think the edges of these beads are a little sharper than the 5mm ones also, because crimping them cut some of the tinsel. Crimp gently but firmly. That said, they've been in my hair for about 2 months now and are holding strong through brushing and washing. So worth it if you specifically want almost invisible beads, but be aware that they're a pain to use and will take twice as long as the larger beads. They do work though.

These are too small to be used with the loopong tool, which makes it a huge pain in and of itself. But to top it off, the silicone kept coming out of the beads when I slid them into place, and when I used pliers to secure them, the beads that managed to stay with the silicone literally broke. I've never been so annoyed by a product. I even got help and the same problems keep happening! Maybe I got a defective batch, but I read other reviews that had the same issue with it being too small to work with the wire threading tool, so I don't think that's a defect. If it can't work with the standard tool, it should come with one that works with it. I'm not going to buy a bunch of other things to see if I can make these work.

These beads work great. They are shiny and can be seen in the hair that for me was the only downfall. If they came in matte they would be perfect.
