Highly recommend
Purchased as I was having knee issues and I struggled to rise up from the toilet. Easy to install the handles and set on commode. I used pre op and post op and this seat made rising up so much easier and less painful. Easy to clean and sturdy once secured to the commode. Highly recommend if having knee issues or having surgery.

Makes the bathroom experience much more manageable
I have had long Covid for over two years which has steady reduced muscle power and makes what was simple tasks very difficult. This bathroom aid is an enormous help in the sitting down and get him up process, we had previously resulted in several falls. Trust me, that’s embarrassing. The frame is well made sturdy life weight. and simple to install. Credit to my wife, because I couldn’t build it, but she was able to do so in 20 minutes. It also can be easily red deployed to any of the restrooms that we have in the house Given its lightweight nature, it can feel a little shaky once I got used to it, it was no problem. I regardless as great value, particularly since it makes my life easier.

Functional mobility aide
This functioned as intended. I used this for about 3 months while I regained mobility and strength after ankle surgery, and I didn't have one bathroom accident while I was on one foot. I'm happy with the price for what I got. It's also sturdy for what it is. I chose this type instead of the kind that hooks under the toilet seat because I wanted the frame to be firmly planted on the ground. For reference, I'm a 5'7, 190 lb female and couldn't support my own weight for over a month, and this worked for me. Set up was easy and I was able to adjust the height and width to accommodate a storage shelf that's behind my toilet. I actually moved this away from the toilet and used it as a support to help me in and out of the shower while I transitioned from crutches or scooter to my shower tool. A few times, I actually used this as a regular walker when I forgot my crutches in the bathroom. Balance is good - I was able to balance on this frame using it as a toilet support, shower aide, and walker.

Great product that helps with weak knees!
This is a good, sturdy product. It makes it much easier to rise from the toilet when one's knees are weak. I've bought four of them, one for each bathroom and one as a traveler when visiting others. Regarding some negative comments I read about it: 1) "No instructions" - it does come with instructions. It comes with what looks like an "other products" card, but really it is folded in half and the instructions are inside. It might be easy to overlook. 2) "Wobbly, unstable, dangerous" - these are stable and sturdy. But, if someone did not follow the instructions fully, they might not have locked the hinges so it might unexpectedly fold up on them. The locking procedure is not intuitive or obvious, but it is simple. It is Step 4 of the instructions (I've attached a picture). 3) "Pins locking legs in place don't align properly" - the legs must be fully inserted and the pins pop up in their holes just fine. It might be difficult to push the legs in fully for this to happen. I found it worked easily if you push the legs in as far as you can so the pins begin to come through their holes, then hold the leg upright (vertical) and "thump" it on the floor once or twice. This seats the leg fully and the pins pop fully into place. 4) "Suction cups on legs don't stick to floor" - this is true, but the size of the cups provides plenty of friction on my vinyl floor so the rail does not skate around.

Great help
Great product and easily usable in manynplaces This is a wonderful gizmo. It is easy to put together and sooooo portable. It can be use for other things than the toilet room. I've use it for arms at a stool at the sink after knee replacement. It could also vibe used in the shower.

Saved Us When the Medical Supply Store Couldn't
My husband had five stomach surgeries over the course of a month and a half. It was a complicated situation, but when he was finally able to come home, we needed some medical equipment and turned to our local medical supply store. Twice they sent the wrong thing (a toilet seat riser) and tried to charge me $40 for it. I finally went there and got the right thing, but it had to be attached to the toilet and was a whole situation. I couldn't attach it to my toilet because of the bidet (also bought on Amazon) that was also a necessity for my husband's situation. I finally was over it and took it back and ordered this. Thank the heavens for this. It made it so that he could do things independently without having to worry so much about getting hurt. He may need another surgery, so we will be keeping it for now, but I will eventually donate it to a charitable organization that provides medical devices to people for a nominal fee. THIS is what you need if someone needs assistance standing up from a seated position. It's extremely sturdy and stays in place. The size can be adjusted to fit in a more snug area and the best part is that it is collapsible and doesn't take a crazy amount of time to set up and doesn't need to be attached to the toilet. Tried to support local business and they totally bombed this one...

There are better quality toilet safety rails elsewhere.
Easy to put together, no tools needed. Easy to adjust height and width. However, the suction cups on the back feet, meant to help secure it to the floor and prevent movement, don’t work. Because of this, the apparatus is not the steadiest, making it overpriced for a basic toilet safety rail.
