Best pencil I've ever owned
Very well designed and perfectly weighted. Would not consider any other brand. Can be a real pain to remove tiny stubs left from the leads, but I like the pencil too much to care.

Amazing mech pencils, highly recommended. Best I've ever used.
These pencils are amazing and worth every penny. You twist the bottom to chose between 2H-2B so you can have multiple same pencils, with different leads, and know exactly what is inside. You click the clip at the top and the nib goes in so makes it safer for storage, another little positive touch. The make and feel of these screams quality. They're a good weight and the grip is perfectly comfortable. They are not cheap but you pay for what you get. They're the best mech pencils I've ever used and I can't see me ever using any others. These were highly recommended by many pro artists and I'm glad I paid good money for them, they're worth it. I have a few now and will buy more when I can justify spending the money on more.

Longevity
I can say this is and has been an amazing mechanical pencil, I bought this 7 years ago and only today the barrel broke, that’s a durable and value for money, it’s comfortable and worth the investment

Pentel GraphGear 1000 Mechanical Pencil
I purchased the 0.3 pencil mainly for sketching. The pencil is well constructed, strong, practical, good grip and it fits fine in your hand when in use. I wouldn't say that it would be the best for writing as the lead is so fine, I would say that 0.5 and upwards would be best for that task. Having used Pentel standard plastic mechanical pencils for years I thought I would treat myself to something more stylish and long lasting and all I required was built into the GraphGear 1000. Well worth the money and when I purchased it, it had a fair discount on the RRP. Now looking at a GraphGear fine point pen as I am impressed with the pencil.

Good for technical drawing
It is a very nice pencil for producing drawings. I do not do art drawings (no skill at all) I do drawings for small items I want to make. The quality is very nice. One potential fault: the tip tube retracts to protect it from damage when not in use by the clip. The designer probably thought this means if anyone puts it in their pocket the tip will automatically retract, but by that time the tip is deep in the pocket and it might catch the material and be damaged. I do not put my pencils in my pocket like that so it has not been an issue for me. At least it does have a mechanism to protect the tip which many cheaper pencils do not.

Great pencil but misleading advertising.
Great pencil but misleading advertising. The pencil doesn't come in a little metal case as shown in the images, instead it just comes in a plastic sleeve. It wouldn't be a problem but other sellers on amazon sell the same pencil in a plastic sleeve cheaper than this one sold by amazon.

Very good build quality. Some say that this a bit heavy, but for me this is perfectly balanced pencil. The grip is a little strange at first, as it is soft (rubber) and hard (metal) at the same time.

Was on the teens Wishlist for Christmas and I nearly didn’t get it because of the price. Well it turns out it’s really nice, so instead I decided to play dumb and keep it. Shhh, don’t tell him and he will never know.

I’ve been using the Pentel Graph Gear 1000 in 0.3 mm, and honestly, it feels like a premium tool compared to regular mechanical pencils. The first thing I noticed is the build quality – it’s solid metal, lightweight, and has a professional look. The grip is a mix of rubber and metal dots, which makes it comfortable for long writing sessions and gives a nice balance in the hand.
