15' X 30' Firestone RubberGard 45 mil EPDM Roofing Rubber

Received the rubber roofing sooner than expected and it's quality material. Insurance is making us build a deck with rails around an upstairs door that leads out to the roof of our 4 season room. We realized we needed to add a second layer of rubber roofing. We chose this item as it would more than cover the roof in one piece. I can say it's good quality rubber and it installed easily. The box arrived opened but it could have just been the heat as it'd consistently been in the 90's when we got it and it is heavy like 120 lbs. The rubber itself was in perfect condition and the edges were clean. I was worried that the edges would be wavy as this likely was cut from a large roll but it was cut well. we didn't measure it to verify it exactly measured 15' x 20' but I always order stuff like this bigger than I need so I can trim to fit.

Do you want to make your under deck side water free? I installed this EPDM under my deck floorboards to keep the underneath dry. It works great! I cut a triangular piece to run between each pair of floor joists with the larger end running into a gutter on the inside of the deck footer. Overlap the pieces on each joist. Don't forget the proper flashing at the ledger board. This is the second deck I have used this product on. The first deck lasted 10 years without a leak. (I had to redo the deck because it was damaged in a storm). This product is heavy! It can be hard to work with by yourself, so find a helper. Cutting it is easy with a sharp utility knife, straight edge and a backer board to keep the sheet flat while you cut it. It staples well to deck joists using 1/2" galvanized staples. I used a roof bonding sealant prior to stapling in between the overlapped pieces.

Rolls out very nice and has a good weight to it, just has the quality feel and look. Was surprisingly easy to align and apply. The hardest part was getting it on my carport roof by myself. The 15x25' weighs about 113 lbs.

I got this EPDM sheet to cover a shed of mine. The sheet came folded and rolled up in a box. I unrolled the sheet in the sun for a few hours to relax the wrinkles which really worked. The sheet was good quality and had a very professional seam every ten feet. They were so well done it took me a while to notice the seams.

Well made, quality product. Unfortunate though, that they have to put a seam every ten feet. Granted, the seam is very well welded together, it only puts a bump in the flatness that I wish wasn't there. At 45 mils, it's not the heaviest rubber sheet out there - but wow! It's a real trick getting it up to the roof. Be prepared. It comes folded, not rolled, so expect some kinks. Lay it out on your roof, preferably in the sun and the kinks will relax. Follow your adhesive instructions. The rubber takes and sets well with proper execution. I'd have no problem ordering this product again.

Used for a shed roof covering. Easy to handle and secure. Laid flat due to the weight of the material.
