Robustness an issue
It is a great idea and it works well unless you put it in the hands of entusiastic colleagues who highlight it's slightly flimsy attachment.

Great gadget
Great gadget, it punctures the empty gas canisters enabling you to recycle them. Just make sure when you screw into the cannister do it slowly because it releases any gas left in there.

Work's as intended '.
The screw on valve came lose from its holder a couple of times ' but the action is smooth and easy '. I would probably recommend getting a case for it so that no parts get lost or separated ' but over all it works well and a tin opener doesn't work cos the metal cans are too thick ' so it's worth the money '.

Looks like price has gone up since I paid $10 last year which included shipping. Works as advertised. It does work on more than Jetboil canisters provided it has a similar connection design. 1 negative review complained it didn't work on Coleman LP cannisters. I assume they're referring to the 1 pound green cannisters with a screw on connection. So yes. It wasn't designed for that. Yes, you could just throw canisters away without puncturing. However, that's not the way to do it since most it will have some small amount of gas left. Yes, you could use a hammer with a punch or screwdriver to puncture. Not safe in my eyes - see above comment about gas and imagine a spark. This product isn't a fancy design or technology. It simply works as advertised and does it safely. It's a can opener but it attaches to the canister for leverage.

When it arrived, looks good, I save it for the winter season and at first use and after screwing the nut. It’s separated from the handle try to fix it many times no use it will not hold in place so now it’s useless.

Does exactly what is says, drains residual gas from the canister and easily allows piecing the canister to permit for legal disposal.
