Bushnell Trail Camera Security Box Non-Cellular Game Cameras

Sturdy way to keep my game cam safe.

The security box came with no instructions as what to do with a u shaped piece included with the box itself. I was able to figure out the piece was to secure the trail cam in the security box preventing the camera from sliding around. It took awhile to determine how to install the u shaped piece. Once the u shaped piece was installed in the box, I then realized the camera would not fit down into the security box as the hinge of the latch on the camera would not clear the u shaped insert. I had to trim the width of the u shaped insert with an angle grinder so the camera would fit into the security box. I also had to secure the u shaped piece with 2 rivets to the back of the security box. If not the u shaped piece could easily be dislodged. Other than this issue i am satisfied with the security box. One other disappointment: if you choose to secure the box with a cable lock, the cable has to go through the ears on the back of the camera for the camera to fit down into the box. This means each time you need to access the sd card you have to remove the cable lock to remove the camera from the security box.

The lock box fit the trail camera, but did not allow it to be secured in the lock box nor was it aligned properly to enable the lens and sensor to the openings in the lock box. After spending close to an hour filing and cutting out some of the metal support from the lock box I was able to go and fit the trail camera into it and I made up my own locking screw to hold it in place. Unless you feel handy with all of this, I'd recommend purchasing a different lock box as this one didn't work with the Bushnell camera we purchased
