I bought these to cut airplane cable (metal braided cable), and they work very well. If there's any downside, it's that the locking mechanism has very little tolerance, so you can't absent-mindedly close and lock these with one hand. You need to actually look at what you are doing after using them to lock them in the shut position. But as far as working to cut cable, they worked great

Normally I don't write reviews on here, but I like these things so much I figured I would in the hopes might help someone else out. I drive a Semi-Truck OTR, and more often than I like the seals that shippers are putting on the trailer doors are the wire cable type like in the photo. Anyone who has tried to cut these things with standard wire cutters knows how crazy frustrating that can be so I ask one of the guys at the shipper what they used to cut them. The ones they use are about $80 on here, but ai figured I would try these, as the risk was only $13. These things cut those wire seals like a knife through hot butter! If you drive a Semi, or deal with those cables in some other profession, these things are absolutely worth the money!

As a truck driver this helps cutting those wire seals at the customer when they tell you to cut seal. Sturdy tool I’ve had for about a year. It works as it should.

These work great. I bought them for a coworker to use when cutting the wire inside of a chem hose. The wire in these hoses is pretty heavy and diagonal cutters will not cut them, but these sliced through it with no problem.

It works fine as it should, just it needs to be opened bigger than what my hands can reach. This cause must of the time the cutter fall from my hands or had to use both hands. Not to much strength needed to cut metal wires si it's sharp enough and I like that. Wish handles were more closed so when open it, I could handle it with one hand easily. Good product over all.

Use these for cable seals on semi trailer. Very sharp and easy to use. Good size, good value, good weight, good quality.
