Great nippers
This model nipper is fantastic. So sharp that I didn’t feel the need to go for a more expensive option. The price point is just right. I’ve used it on three Gundam models so far, and it cuts the nubs perfectly. It even comes with a blade protector for added safety. Definitely worth it!

Great set of cutters
having used cheaper cutters for many years I decided maybe it was time to spend more than £5 on something I used all the time. The upgraded feel of these cutters is hard to explain, they cutter better and closer, this saves so much clean up time. They have remained sharp and feel like that will last many years if looked after.

Good, clean cuts
I am using it for my 40K models and the cuts are barely noticeable, so I don't have to go in to clean that up as well. I can just clean up the seam lines and get priming. I will probably buy a second pair for my partner since I got her into the hobby as well. (one of us, one of us, one of us, one of us, one of us)

Precision that puts many of the others to shame
I've recently bought several pairs of flush cutters similar to this so that I can compare them all and send back all but the best pair for a refund. I'm an electronics hobbyist. I didn't actually know that side cutters for Airfix models were a thing. So I bought these expecting them perhaps to be made from flimsy steel or to have some other obvious design characteristic which made them unsuitable for cutting copper wire. But I really can't see any reason why they should not survive a long time cutting copper. The blades are hard, the copper is soft: what am I missing? The product description is very clear that you shouldn't cut metal with them, and restates this several times but I think they are going to be ideal and it's a risk I'm prepared to take as their precision and manufacturing tolerance appears to be significantly better than the other brands I've been looking at such as Wiha, Knipex, Klein. Most of the cutters I bought for this test have issues with the cutting edges overlapping rather than meeting precisely along their edges. These do not: they are absolutely precisely lined up, and there is only a tiny, almost imperceptible, amount of wobble in the pivot. Furthermore these are the only pair of off the 7 or so which have an adjustment screw for limiting the jaw closure -- so you can set the edges to touch as closely as you wish. This is a great feature and gives you confidence that you're not going to apply pressure that may damage the edges, as in the case of some models which are set during manufacturing to close too much and hence this causes them to bypass each other and become badly unaligned. So in summary then, these are amazingly sharp, precise, and a joy to use. I'll update if I have anything new to report after using them for a while.

Good value
I use these for trimming guitar strings after a restring. Not used them for model kits but I'm sure they're fine as they provide a very accurate and clean cut.

Worked well, until they didn't.
Initially they seemed like a great pair of cutters. I used them for around two hours cutting sprues. One sprue was a little larger (but still less than 3mm) and the blade tip snapped off just missing my eye. It's a shame because they were performing really well, I felt I 'splashed out' because they looked good and reviews were okay. Sadly they didn't last 3 hours after receiving them. It may be that they are defective. I wouldn't advise against them necessarily, but I would also be aware of what could happen. Can't said fairer than that.

Lo quería únicamente para cortar a una distancia segura del plástico, para posteriormente limarlo, hay mejores opciones.

These are excellent quality! They cut very fine let and the spring makes it much better. Really good product, I highly recommend over the others.

Best sprue cutters ive had. Thin but durable cutting head. Sharp on both sides. Clean cuts. And the spring is nice and soft so youre not fighting it when cutting, but it still easily opens the cutter when released. I also like the protective cover it comes with.
