Vida Designs Nest Of Tables, End Table, Rectangular, Waxed Solid Pine Wood, Traditional, Rustic, 28.5 x 60 x 50

We had a rather spindly table nest that we inherited from family. I don't want to be rude but they were hideous 60s horrors. But, we had to trot them out for drinkies when they visited. After many years of dreading the things coming out for use, they finally gave up the ghost and expired. My wife immediately shot online to find something better to replace them. I mean, nothing could possibly be that hideous nowadays, right? How wrong we were. Hideous is apparently the new "thing". Ah well, we found these, which are a pretty close match to the media cabinet and a couple small cabinets we have, so in the basket they went. I will say that once these were assembled, we were quite pleased with them. They are sturdy enough to sit on should the urge take you. They are stable with a nice flat and broad top that is perfect for snacks, coffees or drinks, or just as an occasional table. Luckily they met with the approval of the donor of our previous set so no need to make lengthy explanations. Very easy to assemble. The black button in the image is an optional extra, it is not fitted to the legs. You have to do that. It's a metal plate with a pin sticking out of the back that you hammer into the table leg. We decided to leave that bit out and the tables don't suffer from their lack. Well made, comfortable design, good quality and solid. What more can you ask for in this day and age? Money well spent. Delivery was quick, and they arrived in perfect condition. Even the packaging hadn't been damaged, and that is almost unheard of in our neck of the woods.

Very nice tables. The pine is very dense. It would have been much easier to assemble if pilot holes were pre-drilled, not the end of the world however. You'll need strong forearms, a good screwdriver and some protein powder – I would also recommend warming up your forearms and doing some stretches in preparation for the job... or alternatively; a power drill with a long 2mm bit will make the job much easier. The included screws are rather soft, make sure you use the correct size screwdriver or you’ll end up ruining the head. Would have been nice if they had included better quality screws, or even better torx head screws. I was about to rate this item 4 stars due to the lack of pilot holes and poor quality screws – but have decided to rate 5 stars due to the low low price!

Ah flat pack again, here we go Firstly parcel arrived on time & securely packaged. The instructions are minimal (pictures) & the pieces aren't labelled (stated in previous reviews) but as we know the tables go down /up in size, it makes sense that the 9 smallest pieces make the smallest table, the next 9 pieces make the middle sized table & so the 9 largest pieces make the large table. Unfortunately there is no way you could make these tables look presentable without a power tool, so no idea why the instructions would have a picture of a power tool with a cross on it. Hence 4 stars. There are no guide holes for connecting the brackets to either the sides or table tops. This shouldn't be a problem though, when using a power tool. Just double check on the visual instructions where you are about screw them & go for it. Overall these tables are very sturdy, nice wood, not warped. Tip- use a spot of glue in each dowel hole (not vital but I think it helps with sturdiness over time). Would recommend buying these as they are solid & great value

OK, so they're cheap, £35. Even so, for flat pack, you expect the assembly holes to be drilled correctly. Assembling these tables was a fricking nightmare. We found that where the screws were to go in was splitting the wood, so our task no.1 was to drill our own pilot holes for the screws. Secondly we noticed some of the holes where the dowls should go were not drilled at all. So, we had to drill our own dowl holes, measuring carefully, and even then, I got it slightly out. I couldn't re-drill, the hole was too close, so that fastening wasn't used. Thirdly some of the holes that had been drilled for dowls, weren't in the right place. In the factory, don't they have machines which you can programme to put the holes in the right place on each piece, not massively out of place? And lastly there was 1 screw short when I unpacked and counted. I had to match it up with 1 I had from my tool box. So, we've put 2 out of the 3 tables together, but we've left out so many dowls and screws, I don't think they'll stay in one piece for long. We're going to Ikea to replace them.

Arrived quickly, package was secure. The table had no parts missing and we checked the parts that everything was in good order and in total in took about an hour & half to put together. The smaller of the tables were a bit more tricky to put together as you need a much smaller screw driver. Looks lovely and expensive and well worth the price we paid- we decided against putting on the black circles on the table as it looked perfect without them - definitely would buy again- a 5 star buy

The quality of these tables is OK but it falls down on the cheap screws plus I was missing two in the first place. Secondly the dowel holes on the tops are 10mm while the supplied dowels are 8mm meaning they are loose in the holes rendering them useless. Once assembled I found the legs were loose but the screws were in as far as they would go. To fix this I had to replace all the screws for longer ones with a decent head on them. Change the screws and drill the correct size dowel holes on the tops and they would be a decent buy.

De loin ma pire commande sur Amazon pour l'instant. J'ai acheté un premier colis neuf et rien ne tenait. Tous les trous étaient prepercés et l'ensemble était bancal et se disloquait. J'en envoyé photos et vidéos au service client qui voulait que je renvoie mais je n'avais pas de carton approprié pour renvoyer. J'ai racheté un lot moins cher d'occasion qui étonnamment n'était pas le même. Pas la même treinte. Pas les mêmes prepercages, il tenait mieux la route mais il manquait des pièces (que j'ai du piocher dans ma première commande avant de finir par renvoyer) et les goujon étaient bien plus gros que les trous donc clairement inutiles. J'ai fini par avoir quelques choses de potable en NLpiochant dans les 2 lots mais à moins d'être vraiment prêt à galérer pour avoir trois petites tables en bois pas incroyable, passez votre chemin.

Für den Preis sind die Tische voll ok. Die Farbe ist für Kiefer ein wenig dunkel. Zumindest im vergleich zu meinen anderen Kiefermöbel.
