Gunson G4053 Carbalancer

It's not sophisticated, but easy to use and accurate enough. I have used it to balance the SU carbs on my Range Rover and it even worked well on the oval-shaped inlets my son's motorbike. Hopefully it won't be needed often, as though the Gunson is simple to use, actually adjusting the carbs can be a bit fiddly. It's good to know that it sits in the cupboard in my garage with the other special tools that are important but only needed occasionally - tuning light gun, compression tester, spring compressor etc.

As other reviews have said its cheap and nasty. Used it twice now and the plastic bits are very flimsy. Save your money and buy something better. I have no idea how this is £30, its what I would expect from a £1 shop. It least I have got 2 uses from it which sort of did the job but the plug in part was already worn in terms of providing vacum for the 2nd use.

It does what it is supposed to do but It’s fiddly and awkward to use. Will work well if accessibility to your carbs is an issue.

cheap and cheerful aid to balancing carburettors

Did as expected balanced the carbs perfectly. One slight criticism is the joint on the spring clip to hold gauge is a little loose but sorted with a cable tie and insulation tape.

Utilisé sur sumbeam alpine 1967 bien mais la bille se coince dans le tube il faut faire attention

Dificil obtener una lectura precisa, el nivel se clava con facilidad.
