RYA Training Chart: No. 3

Nice to have a spare RYA 3 chart with all the markings and rubbing out of my first. Get one. A good course to stear.

These (RYA Chart 3 and 4) cover a fictional area located in the Bay of Biscay, and have been created in cooperation with the UK Hydrographics Office. They include a variety of locations spanning two timezones and every imaginable object and situation all packed into two charts. Whether you're doing a course (where these are typically provided), or self-learning, this is the stuff you want so you can follow the exercises or practice plotting on your own. You'll also want the matching training almanac RYA TRAINING ALMANAC NORTHERN HEMISPHERE by RYA ( Author ) ON Jan-01-1900, Paperback , which has the tide tables, secondary ports and tidal stream atlas for these two charts. Also get a good 2B pencil, eraser, set of dividers and the "Handy Chart Plotter". Parallel rulers optional.

A manadatory component of the RYA training courses involving navigation and designed to present the student with the majority of circumstances likely to be encountered anywhere in the world. A good quality chart that will meet the requirements of students of marine navigation and those undertaking RYA courses.

Would have preferred it to be cheaper but was worth having a new chart for the final exam.

As long as your buying an up to date chart then you can't go wrong. RYA are leaders in this field and their charts have all the info needed to get from A to B safely. Absolutely no good in the car tho 😉
