A Superb camera
A superb camera and a good price from Amazon. What can I say .... for me it is perfect having the ability to zoom clearly to 600mm. Battery life could be better but I always carry a spare with me so not too much of an issue. The zoom is very smooth and the image stabilising works very well even at long zoom range. I have not tested everything this camera will do yet but it will do a lot more than I require anyway, The build quality is superb and has a lovely weighty feel to it. I did not know this when I bought it but the camera is actually weatherproof as well which will come in handy on rainy days in Scotland. The only possible negative I can see is if you are using the focus / aperture rings on manual they are a bit close to the camera body and unless you have small fingers this could cause some difficulty. All in all a superb camera with a brilliant lens and very well made.

Superb Camera!
What a superb piece of equipment! My days of carting long lenses are definitely in the past. Absolutely crystal clear, images in all situations. A superb zoom, and build quality.

Great all round camera
I have been using Nikon DSLR cameras and lenses for a number of years and are a big admirer of their products - the only downside being the weight of the body and decent lens if you are out and about and just want some quick snaps. I mainly shoot landscapes and wildlife and have been looking at a decent ‘all in one’ camera that I can take out with me on some quick shoots that is light enough to not put my shoulder out. After a number of months reading reviews and talking to fellow snappers, I decided on the Sony RX10 III that was a great price at the time on Amazon. The Mk4 was an option, but I didn’t think it was worth an additional £500!! Pros It’s very light (1kg) and my shoulder is better! Zoom range (24-600) is amazing and the Zeiss lens delivers pretty good results. Image quality is decent, although obviously not as good as a top end dslr and at full zoom you do (not surprisingly) notice the difference in quality. Camera has a built in stabilisation system (optical steadyshot) that works well and is a must at full zoom with this lens. Ease of use - very good. As per larger dslr’s, loads of various settings for you to tweak and enjoy and very simple to switch between modes. Excellent 4k video capabilities. Smooth zoom Weatherproof Rear viewing screen tilts Cons Image quality at full zoom - but that’s just me being picky as you wouldn’t expect comparable results with a dslr as this is basically a top end bridge camera with a small sensor. Price - hmmmm, tricky one this. I got mine through Amazon during Black Friday, so had a pretty good deal. Would I pay top dollar for this ie around £1,200? Defo no - but if you can get one for around £850-£900 then it’s a pretty good buy. Wi-fi - aaaaaaaarg. This is my only real issue with the camera - it’s just so hard to get it to pair with my mobile phone re image transfer. Summary - pretty decent ‘all round’ camera that delivers great images for portraits, landscapes or wildlife shots. I haven’t used my big nikon dslr’s for quite some time now so I guess that’s a good sign as to how good this camera is

Awesome camera - quite big for a bridge camera but ...
Awesome camera - quite big for a bridge camera but full frame and incredible zoom has to be crammed in somewhere. As good as any DSLR. The purist would say it can't possibly be, because you cant change the lens - that's the point of a bridge camera, so if your a photo enthusiast but not an anorak you don't have to carry a suitcase with all the other attachments/lenses attributable with a DSLR, but can still take fantastic "snaps". Some reviews criticise the menu but I've always had Sony cameras so am pretty used to it by now.

good camera but not as good as sony would have you believe
the camera is fine and the results are very good. the instruction manual is absolutely rubbish. there is no separate battery charger, it has to be purchased separately. alternatives are available. the price is steep but offers are viable from certain suppliers. the recommended price is stupid. the camera shoots clean and positive. the auto focus can be fooled in some lighting conditions and is not as fast as sony would have you believe. I personally like the camera but remember it is a bridge camera and whilst the 600 mm zoom is wow it would be better beinga bit wider and sacrifice length. ignore sony,s cash back offer they will do anything not to pay it.

Excellent camera.
Camera is quite easy to use and takes excellent pictures. Far simpler to carry around than the DSLR camera kits I have used for years. Very impressed.

Really pleased with the performance - great balance of reach
Bought this camera for safari to Namibia and Botswana. Really pleased with the performance - great balance of reach, quality and size. I would never have carried a heavy DSLR and long lens on all the activities we did. The Sony was with me at all times and delivered some great photos and memories.

easy to use camera
I have had a multitude of cameras over the years finally getting a Nikon D750, a great camera but heavy as heck. I wanted something lighter without a pile of lenses and went for the Sony.. so glad I did. a great all rounder with great video. would have liked to see it focus quicker but other than that it ticks all the boxes I need. I cant wait to take on holiday where I think it will be suited best.
