Oxford Very First Dictionary

This is such a lovely, colourful book.mmy son is in reception class and has autism. This book is so simple in its layout it helps him to understand the meaning of words. Includes in the back pages on colours, doing verbs, shapes and the alphabet. A good book to start learning the world of words.

the children enjoy flicking through this book and picking out words they already know. should probably get some in hardback so that it will stand up to the wear and tear of a busy classroom.

my original dictionary as a child 40+ years ago was an oxford illustrated dictionary, Illustration has come a long way, but still a must for all children in my opinion

I bought this dictionary for my granddaughter, who is just 4 years, and it suits her needs. It helps her recognise words although she is not able to spell the words yet. I think the dictionary will give her confidence in reading and hopefully, she will shortly be able to create basic sentences by using the dictionary.

My LO loves this dictionary, he reads it almost everyday. The picture illustrations are excellent. This is a very good buy for little ones starting their reading journey

A very good dictionary for my four and a half year old grandson. Every word has a picture associated with it and a clear and simple explanation/definition. Good value.

Love the picture. Actually held the attention of a very inquisitive 2 year old for longer than 10 minutes

I ordered this book for my 6 year old as she uses a similar one in school. But as it arrived it wasn’t the one I wanted it was completely different, the one she uses in school is more advanced and has more words. This one as you can see for every a letter only has 11 words. It wasn’t suitable for my daughter but definitely good for beginners and smaller children in early years.

Diccionario que nos recomendo la profe de mi hija,es divertido y sencillo,con buenos dibujos para facilitar la busqueda de palabras.Muy util para empezar a manejar un diccionario en ingles. Le recomiendo a los padres que se lo compren a sus hijos,su primer diccionario en ingles.

It is good with pictures but I was expecting too much word in it.

I got this I’m good condition, no tear no damage. It’s made easy to understand for ages 6 years . You little one will enjoy it . I would recommend this for anyone who wants to purchase this
