Good
Bought as I was told I need to check my line. This wasn't needed but it does the job. Cheap, good quality and delivery was quick

Does the job!
This tool was delivered in only 2 days, well ahead of the estimated time. I used it to install the wiring on a telephone socket and chose to remove the insulation on the wires before inserting with this tool to ensure a good connection. When using check each wire after insertion as it is possible to push down without the wire going fully down, particularly with small wires. If this happens simply repeat the insertion using the tool. I believe with its plastic construction it is best suited for occasional use by an amateur rather than for a full time professional application. Why 5 stars? This tool does the job for very little outlay and represents great value for money.

OK but not long lasting
The problem with these plastic cutters is that after a few uses the plastic doesn't return to it's new position and so you end up with the hole gaps that don't match any wire size so then it either doesn't cut deep enough without some pressure on it or it cuts to deep

Very Useful - and so cheep!
The stripper is so useful for cat 5e - use the biggest hole. and the metal tip insertion tool is so much better than plastic ones. for 99p and free P&P - brilliant.

Use if you are happy to use
It's a wire stripper and a telephone wire tool. I didn't use it in the end as I wasn't happy to use it. The telephone engineer said its the standard tool.

Great quality at a great price
Bought this one to install a master switch but didn't have to use it as the switch came with a disposable plastic one. This one is a much better product (Hard plastic and metal punch) and will be used in future installations, even has a slot to strip the cable insulation of 4 different thicknesses.

At the price it is difficult to say it is not worth the money, but most of the time it did not punch down the wires, it simply bent the wires down either side of the contact. I only had 4 Telephone points do (some with spurs going off - so at least 12 punch downs), but for at least half of the punch downs, after the tool consistently failed a particular wire, I did it "manually" with a not particularly fine pointed pair of pliers at one side and my finger tip at the other! Indeed the finger tip action was not unlike flossing one's teeth!
