Renovo International Soft Top Reviver, Black, 1 Litre

Brilliant product — easy to apply and gives the soft top a rich, even black finish. Brings tired fabric back to life and makes the car look so much smarter. A little goes a long way, so the bottle should last.

Excellent product, cleaned roof well before hand, Applied 2 coats, being a painter & decorator for many years I used a new mini emulsion roller for the larger parts of the roof, feeling as in painting would give a more even coat & also quicker which is was & used a good quality brush on the smaller bits, the finish is amazing just like new, also as in another post used a fine plastic decorating sheet to cover the car & taped up the windows (i have 3 on my roof) so did not have to worry about over spill as this & the waterproofer is very runny but not a problem just don't rush it

Easy to apply & very effective. I 'painted' this onto the covertible roof of my 12 year old BMW 640d. I had washed it the day before but it had lots of faded bits, marks, stains etc, and looked pretty poor. Hence I purchased the Renovo black restorer. Following a tip in another review I also purchased some plastic decorating sheets, and before starting, I partially opened the roof, lay out the plastic sheet, then closed the softop fully, pining the plastic protective sheet in place. It was a dry sunny day, but as per the instructions I ensured the car was in the shade and worked methodically and fast, but without rushing. Product went on very easily, it wipes off easily when wet if you spill it, and dries to a good black with no brush marks. I'm very pleased, the roof looks so much better - the after photos don't do it justice but it's a massive improvement and the black is like new. It obviously won't hide 12 years of creasing, but the softop is hugely improved. I had enough product to properly cover a BMW 640d softopop which is quite big with some leftover. I repeated one small area where there was a bad stain (after it had dried) and that has dried very well with no obvious difference between 1 and 2 coats in terms of colour, but the stain is improved and less visible. On the flat roof area it was really easy to apply, but on the edges which slope down, a bit more care is needed so the product doesn't just drip off the side. I'd highly recommend this product to restore / revive a black softop.

Good product, bought a 1 ltr bottle to cover an Audi A4 convertible roof. It has has 3 coats upto now and still have around half the bottle left. It covers quite well but is very runny and does take more than one coat but to be fair the roof now looks 100% better, pity the product does not have a water proofer built into it as now I have to buy the water proofer to finish the job off. But overall satisfied with product !!!!

Well I was very impressed, when you pour you think oh this is runny but it's perfect use a brush as they say and start from the middle. Took me 20.muns and roof looks like new. Well happy

This product works, i have tried other and they have only lasted weeks, this lasts all year

My old MX5 softtop was looking a bit spotty up close. Gave it a clean and one coat of Renovo and it looks like new now. When it goes on it looks a bit odd (First picture) but dries perfectly (second picture). I used a 2" brush and applied it slowly with overlapping strokes. For an MX5 roof I probably have enough in a 1 litre bottle to do it 10 times so if you have a similar sized roof you may want to go for the smaller bottle. Once it had dried I gave it a coat of Fabsil gold to waterproof it. 3rd picture shows what happens now when it rains....

Really messy to apply. Thin liquid, but seams to have done the job. Takes a lot of cleaning up after application

Nach einer Ordentlichen Verdeck Reinigung incl Trocknung, die Renovo Verdeckfarbe mit Pinsel und Schaumstoffrolle aufgetragen. Die Ränder und falze mit dem Pinsel, große Flächen mit der Rolle. Absolut Flecken freies und durchgehend sehr gutes Ergebnis. Sehr zu empfehlen. Danach trocknen lassen und Imprägnierung auftragen . Verdeck sieht neuwertig aus . Aufwertung vom feinsten.

From light to a medium brown and grey ish type color It said to apply 2 coats to achieve a black top perfect look. My car was only a year old from brand new yet the effect was not satisfactory at all. Disappointed.
