Return to Life Through Contrology

For anyone interested in Pilates this book lays out clearly the moves, how to breathe with a picture of each move. As with many forms of exercise some moves are easier to do than others. I believe this book is more advantageous used combined with instruction from a qualified teacher.

Studying as a Pilates teacher so great to really see what everything I'm learning is based on :)

A must have !!! Excellent explanation of traditional Pilates positions.

I ordered as this was described to be complete writings, despite a 1-3 month waiting time. 1 month later and a flimsy paperback with an introduction by somebody other than Pilates and the basic exercises but none of Joseph's writings arrives. Incredibly disappointed, am returning. Cannot believe anybody would be willing to pay this price just for the exercises in a shiny cover.

great book

Hi, I'm not sure if I have received a faulty copy but this is not as described. I am a Pilates Teacher and I already have a copy of Return To Life through a different publisher, I bought this copy for a friend. My copy of RTL includes writing by Joseph Pilates on "basic fundamentals of a natural physical education", 5 sections to be precise and then the 34 "the original exercises". This publication only has the latter 34 exercises, and the writings of pilates' that formed 5 sections is missing, which is key! The description on this product is misleading as it says the book covers Pilates' exercise philosophy, which this book doesn't if it excludes that part of the original text.
