We used the NetumScan Automatic Omnidirectional scanner for our graduation ceremony events, and it performed flawlessly from start to finish. We got this scanner for our small volunteer library, to scan printed barcode labels. We got a 1D scanner for about $20 that worked fine on commercially printed barcodes, but really struggled with our barcodes printed off a home printer. This scanner reads the home-printed barcodes instantly.

Used for light scanning work for a few months now. So far, zero issues. It was plug and play on my system, no drivers to install so it was fairly easy to use. Good for situations where you don't want to muck with batteries and are fine with it being hardwired. Worked on all of the barcodes I have thrown at it.
