One of the best films of director Ivan Reitman (Dave), this comedy (with some thriller elements) went a long way to further soften and broaden Schwarzenegger's image after Reitman worked with him in the gentle Twins. But Kindergarten Cop is genuinely touching, the story of a hard man who visibly finds his true passion and soul by leaving behind the rot of urban crime. Penelope Ann Miller is a delight as the love interest, Pamela Reed is wonderful as Arnold's cop partner, old pro Carroll Baker is quite nasty as the villain's evil mother, and Linda Hunt--whose diminutive stature makes for quite a contrast with Schwarzenegger when they share scenes--is entertaining as a tough principal. I watched this years ago on blu Ray but just brought it to upgrade it to 4K as I am a big Schwarzenegger Fan so will be watching again soon in 4K.

Kindergarten Cop
I love this film! It's fun, it's entertaining, it's cute and funny. Always engages me and makes me smile. The DVD as sold is uncut, so a little more adult than what's shown on the telly, but nothing any child would dwell on. I'd actually say it's a film for adults more than kids, though both would enjoy. The kids are the best!

A very fun comedy with some cool action scenes too. The 1990's had the best films. Schwarzenegger was at the top of his game and branching into comedy. A nice blend ofd of both. Directed by Ivan Reitman a comedy great. Worth the 4k upgrade. A must have for the Arnold fan. Excellent cast all around.

La calidad de imagen del blu-ray es mejor que la que se presenta en el DVD. No obstante, aunque se trata de una película que estuvo en cartelera hace 30 años, podría haberse hecho un mejor trabajo para mejorar la calidad de la imagen.

One of my all time favorite movies (even had it on VHS)! It's still a fantastic movie all these years later! The kids are so cute and funny and it's just a great story from start to finish! Not a dull moment! Excellent blu ray picture, I find that any Kino Lorber movies I get are a fantastic clear picture with great sound! Happy with this purchase!

Spijtig genoeg niet alleen op een dvd speler gaat dat het weer om dvd via de laptop gaat maar werkt wel goed

Soy fan del clásico de los años 90's "Kindergarten Cop" o en español "Un Detective En El Kinder", y cuando supe que Shout Factory la había restaurado en formato 4K Ultra HD, la compré de inmediato. Se ve espectacular, con una calidad de imagen fuera de serie, viene con el Slipcover de colección con la portada original de Cines. Llegó rápido y en perfectas condiciones, lo mejor es que la conseguí a un gran precio por las ofertas del Hot Sale 2024, y el único inconveniente es que solo trae subtitulos en inglés nada de español.
