At first sight this looks a little expensive because it costs a bit more than most other garden hoses, but this garden hose is something else! I've had many garden hoses over the years, all of which have been reasonable but they didn't last long, kinked and leaked at the connector due to high mains pressure or leaked where they had kinked. Well forget any of these problems with this hose. It is super strong (multilayer wall construction and yet flexible), will withstand huge pressure, will not kink or tangle and is lovely to handle. Also it is guaranteed for 30 years, just register it with Hoselock. This should be the last hose that you need to buy, so it is excellent value. Highly recommended.

This is the second hose reel and still find it so easy to use, it rolls up very easy and no awkward kinks. Ive tried other hose pipes from hozelock but this is the best one and pressure is excellent.

I bought the Hozelock to upgrade my tired and slightly worn hose and I'm impressed! Solid build, nice, thick and long. The connectors lock in with a satisfying click, and once it's fully extended, it’s more than capable of reaching all the right spots in the garden. Initially, it was a bit stiff and coiled up tighter than expected, but give it a bit of stretching and movement, and it soon loosened up. The wife even commented on how powerful the spray was. High praise indeed. Only reason it’s not a full five stars is the price. A bit more expensive than others on the market but worth it. It's easy to install, and reliable once in. Kink free and doesn’t go limp halfway through the job. Highly recommended!

I made the mistake of buying something that looked just like the hosepipe that had served me well for thirty years (green with a crosshatch pattern) and that bizarrely had received great reviews here. That flimsy rip-off lasted a week before it sprang a leak. The HOZELOCK Ultimate Hose (12.5mm x 50m) might have cost twice as much but the quality is on a different planet - flexible but not easily kinked - and I confidently predict it will last me decades. You get what you pay for with this one.

This is a brilliant hose. It is extremely flexible, easy to use, not heavy and very durable. I am sure it will last many years.

It's a strong, heavy duty hose. Excellent Quality product. Replaced a standard hose. Will update to let you all know about the quality. *Update June 2017: A year on, I maintain that this is an excellent hose. Regarding its 'kink-proof' property, I wouldn't say that it is fully kink-proof, it has kinked only twice. Whilst with the traditional standard green hoses, the kink often leaves a permanent "fold" which makes it more prone to kinking in the same place again. The hose is of heavy duty, I have left mine in the garden for a whole year, and is still in excellent condition. Whilst the standard hose may be cheaper, it is definitely worth buying this hose. I have updated this review as I feel it's necessary to let other customers to know what this product is like to own in the long term- rather than just the first week when most items work well. good site, good product, fair price prompt delivery

I've had one of these for years and years and it's still going strong. It's a little harder than the new one I just brought, but it's still flexible and it works perfectly, so I can safely say that this hose definitely stands up to the test of time, so much so that I have just purchased a second one so that I have one out the back and the front. It's very pricey, you certainly can buy much cheaper hoses elsewhere, but I have never found a hose that resists kinds like this one so it's well worth spending the money on, especially given that my old hose is still going strong and I've had it for years. I initially went for one of these because I was fed up with kinks and twists that stop the flow mid use, and I have never looked back, or even thought about purchasing another cheap hose. I would definitely recommend this. You buy cheap, you buy twice. If my old hose (or my new one for that matter) ever decides to kick the bucket, I will update this review, so if there is no update here assume it's going strong! The 30 year guarantee is nice, but I doubt I would ever have to use it given the quality of this hose!
