Useful to have as a spare ready "on ice" - shame about the price premium
If you are using the C20 or C50 on a continuous basis, restocking the contents as and when required, having a spare set of blocks already "on ice" makes a lot of sense as you simply swap them over with the defrosted ones. Having said that, it is disappointing having to pay a clear price premium for a proprietary Pet Plan branded (and sized) ice block. My advice to the hackers amongst you: modify the base of the feeder to access conventional - and far cheaper - ice blocks. They will have the additional advantage of being wider and so - in theory - able to keep the temperature down longer.
